Why has the media been silent about the fact that....in their 3-4 hours of convention speeches, Romney/Ryan, not once thanked or even mentioned, our brave troops, fighting overseas, in the war in Afghanistan?????????? A war, brought about at the insistance of a republican administration....Is this how the republican party disrespects those, they have sent off, to battle? Romney/Ryan don't deserve our support.....

Obama embraced both those wars, and other military actions, with both arms.

He owns them now.

Don't waste my time watching conventions.

Just because he didn't say it there, doesn't mean he hasn't said it.

As often as Obama has dissed the troops, I don't think either candidate rates a military vote.

the GM plant in janesville, Wis. closed its door in April 2009. i guess finding that information was too difficult for the writer of this piece, which appeared in this socialist rag of a UK paper. isn't it great when the brits try to school us colonials? mind your own business over there, or we'll kick your ass even worse this time!

The Constitution 101:

In the Federalist Papers it said: We were not going to have a monarchy, and we were not going to have a democracy.$$$$$$$

And to this day we have neither. For two hundred years we have had an oligarchical system in which men of property can do well (Dumbya Bush), and others are on their own.$$$$$$$

American politics is essentially a family affair, as are most oligarchies. When the father of the Constitution, James Madison, was asked how on earth any business could get done in Congress when the country contained 100 million people whose representatives would number half a thousand, Madison took the line that oligarchy's iron law always obtains: A few people invariably run the show; and keep it, if they can, in the family.$$$$$$$

Our founding fathers had such a fear and loathing of democracy that they invented the Electoral College so that the popular voice of the people could be throttled, much as the Supreme Court throttled the Floridians on December 12, 2000.$$$$$$$

We were to be neither a democracy, subject to majoritarian tyranny, nor a dictatorship, subject to Caesarean folly.$$$$$$$

As American media is controlled by that corporate America which provides us with political candidates a well-informed electorate is not possible.$$$$$$$

In all the years since D-Day, there are three
occasions when the president failed
to go to the D-Day Monument that honors
the soldiers killed during the Invasion.
The occasions were:

1. Barack Obama 2010
2. Barack Obama 2011
3. Barack Obama 2012

For the past 68 years, all presidents, except
Obama, have paid tribute to the fallen soldiers
killed on D-Day.

This year, instead of honoring the soldiers,
he made a campaign trip on Air Force 1 to
California to raise funds
for the upcoming election.

Democrats set to move Obama's big speech from 74,000-seater outdoor stadium to 20,000-seater indoor arena
By Toby Harnden In Charlotte, North Carolina

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’. hahahaah blaiming weather when they can't fill the stadium even when busing them in for free.

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.
Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.
