Evidently you didn't use progressive math to reach your conclusions. If I may. The national debt was $10T when Obama took office. He thought he would get the debt up to $21T but it's only at $16T, that's $5T less than he thought he could spend. So, Obama actually saved us $5T, half the original debt. Works just as well to calculate savings from obamacare.

Great subject, we are not dealing with two of the biggest factors in solving the healthcare problem, one is how we pay for health care not do we have it, the other is how healthcare pays doctors.

People need to pay for their own healthcare then they will pay attention to cost. If you have no skin in the game it is not your problem if someone is ripping off medicare or your insurance company.

Get rid of employer sponsored healthcare, return the money for it back to the employees and let them buy insurance.

Insurance needs to be for serious illnesses you can't pay for. You don't expect your car insurance to pay for your vehicles brakes and oil changes, same should go for health insurance. Just think for a minute if your insurance paid for the brake job on your car when it needed it you would not be so worried about what it was going to cost and neither would Midas.

Care for people who can not afford insurance should be places they go not policies they have.

It just tore me up to listen to Obama say that the most cost effective way the treat medicare patients is in an atmosphere like Cleveland clinic but when it comes to treating the poor the most cost effective way is to get us taxpayers to subsidize insurance plans for them.

I was reading some fact checking articles:
The $718 billion Medicare cut is a true fact.
It happens over 10 years. The cut doesn't affect
beneficiaries of Medicare, but the doctors that
Medicare people go to. These doctors get less money.
In a round-about way, the Medicare
patients, then MAY have to make up the difference
from out-of-pocket.
So, as a result, the doctors are saying "will not treat Medicare people."
The doctors say that because they don't want to
raise the fees on the people who ARE paying out
of their pockets or with employer paid health ins.
This is what we have now in the current system...unfairness
in pricing. Some patients pay less than others.
The $718 billion cut will make this worse.
BECAUSE THE AFFORDABLE ACT DOESN'T answer the
problem! Health care is totally unaffordable in
this country. Health care is totally discriminatory in this country.
What Obama did with his health act was raise
Medicare taxes on workers.....ALL workers,
low, middle, rich...the same rate across the board
(he "buried the middle class) with $318 Billion
of new payroll Medicare tax....that necessarily won't be used on old people's benefits!
Medicare and SS tax now can be used for other gov
spending and these taxes are definitely used in that way.
here's a good link to explain

The Ryan Medicare plan isn't all that great either.
It passes the problem onward to the individual
and to the states.

Health Care in this Country is UNAFFORDABLE.

The people whom we all should be asking to
make it affordable once again are the health
care facilities and doctors etc.

Why are these people NEVER yelled at for ruining
our country?!?!?!?!?our economy!?!??!!? our world?!?!?!

We shouldn't be worming around trying to live
with this industry's greed....we should be
trying to stop their greed and tell them
enough is enough!
It is totally obscene that only such a few
can RULE everyone else.

1 thing you need to know about large government programs...they are generally failures:
The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775. You have had 237 years to get it right and it is broke. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 77 years to get it right and it is broke. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 48 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 45 years to get it right and they are broke. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 40 years to get it right and it is broke. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil
. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.
You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars. Healthcare will be the next failure of big government. And Healthcare is next and that is already more expensive by hundreds of billions and that was recently passed this year.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM? IT'S NOT ABOUT THE NEED FOR GOOD HEALTH CARE, IT'S ABOUT TRUSTING THE GOVERNMENT.

Medicare has over $100,000,000,000,000. That is over a hundred trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities. No solution will be that great.
