Baltimore museum has strong case in Renoir theft
An expert on art thefts says the Baltimore Museum of Art likely has a strong case to reclaim a Renoir painting that was stolen in 1951 and turned up recently at a West Virginia flea market.

really? I read from AP that the museum had no record if it being accepted for viewing by the original owner and somewhere along the way it was stolen though no police or other report was made or is known to exist regarding any such theft.
