Why does Dan keep proposing things that will cost more money, especially to Hawaii? All we need are thousands more on social security and welfare. Why doesn't he at least attempt to get the $$$$ millions for all the housing, medical, education, etc that Hawaii has had to spend on the Micronesians in the past 13 years? Get your hand out of my pocket Dan.

Nov. 12 (Bloomberg)-- President Barack Obama said he will convene business executives and experts for a jobs forum next month at the White House to seek solutions to revive the U.S. economy.

“We’ll gather CEOs and small business owners, economists and financial experts, as well as representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups to talk about how we can work together to create jobs and get this economy moving again,” Obama said today.

These "Filipino Vets" were fighting for a country called the Philippines.

So should Iraqi's get money, retirement and citizenship since they were fighting alongside the US.

How about Afghanis or Bosnians or Vietnamese or any other number of foreigners fighting for their foreign country.

I feel shame for Filipinos who so unabashedly accept and even demand money and citizenship for payment for having to fight for their own country.

What a great day it will be for the United States and Hawaii when Dan is no longer in office. The only thing he knows how to do is spend our tax money. If people of Hawaii were smart they would have thrown him out along time ago. Oh, I forgot the sheep (idiots) of Hawaii vote in the same people year after year. That is why we have so many problems. The problems with Hawaii is it`s politicians.

All of you who expect something from Dan need to learn this. Give him a certificate and he will sponsor anything.
Seriously though, it appears Dan is losing it. He has already handed over much more than was ever promised to the filipinos who fought in WWII. Now he proposes to give even more.
And what's wrong with these people waiting for their turn to immigrate. Why should they go to the head of the line. Is that fair to the rest of the people who are waiting their turn.

Just wondering did any of the Micronesians ever serve in the military?

Hummmmm, well that was a stupid question :)
The only thing they ever did was to stand in the food line.

They had to, after all the Nuclear testing(210 megatons worth), their food supply was contaminated with radiation.

100% would be a better number PLUS 100% of the bribes they extort under the table from lobbyists and "business friends." Just a constructive thought; 'nuff said...

You don't get it do you. And that's why you loser conservatives are shrinking like prunes. Filipinos will view this support from Inouye and "vote, vote, vote" for the democrats in the elections again, again and again. They are one of the largest voting blocks in the state.
BTW, just got back from the bay area. That place stinks and is dirty. Go outside and clean up instead of posting your nonsense. sour grapes, oops poi!

Spending money the government does not have. Increasing the size of the National Debt. Helping some people at the cost of everyone else. Saying you have fought during your entire career to balance the budget, but not walking that talk.

The question that I have is, why do we need to do this? Did the Filipinos lead the attack on Okinawa or something? NO! The reason that they helped the Americans, was that the Americans were confronting the Japanese in the Philippines. The Filipinos couldn't defend there own home country from attack. As usual the US had to come in and clean up there mess. We owe them absolutely nothing. And even if we did, what do there kids have to do with anything. They didn't fight in any war. We owe them even less.
As usual Dannyboy is setting up for a reelection bid. This is a ploy to get the Filipinos vote. Go Democrats Go!!! You loosers!!!!!!!

Their using that a crutch. How many years ago was the testing done, 60 years ago?

I was born right inside a nuclear radiation plant. It's no joke and I feel fine.
