Who's watching the northern border? Hardly anyone

Americans face a high risk of terrorist activity along the U.S.-Canadian border, where less than 1 percent of the 4,000-mile stretch is adequately protected, according to a government report released Tuesday.

Our nation's efforts in regard to immigration "enforcement" and border "protection" actually are nothing more than choreographed charades the government goes through so as to placate the general public.

More specifically, the big boys in the Democratic Party want the votes that an increasing population and undocumented aliens voting illegally give it, the big boys in both the Democratic and Republican parties want to keep happy the big businessmen who make large election campaign contributions and who want access to low cost undocumented alien slave labor, and all sorts of big boys want plenty of undocumented aliens around who will work as nannies, babysitters, and gardeners, etc, etc, etc.

And the government itself loves, and in fact is also totally addicted to, the many billions of dollars that undocumented aliens each year pay into social security but are not likely to collect more than a tiny portion of.

In other words, far too many of the big and powerful boys, and in one way or another, have their fingers in the sections of the economic and social pies that are based on having huge numbers of undocumented aliens continuing to be present in the USA, so therefore in actuality nothing serious will be done to get the number of undocumented aliens drasticaly reduced.

The only ones who are probably watching the northern border is a few guys from Al Queda, which in turn allows more of the murdering bastards into this Country.
They are IMHO waiting for the right time and signal to hit us when our guard is way down, that is the only way to pull off surprise attacks, while our Government sleeps, and we ask...

Maybe it's because the security of the US-Canadian border is less of an issue than Lieberman et al. want to make it. Looks like our northern border folks were stopping terrorist attacks well before most of America even imagined a terrorist attack could be possible (remember the thwarted Seattle Space Needle attack of 1999, which none of us heard about until after 9/11):
