No surprise: Eyes on Ohio for Nov. 2 vote

Full story: DispatchPolitics

On the first Tuesday in November, Ohio will play a major role in determining whether the 2010 elections will be remembered as a historic shift back to a Republican congressional majority or a rough but nonfatal year for Democrats.

Pack your bags Kilroy and dont let the door hit you in the behind when leaving . In other words YOU ARE FIRED, Maybe you can get a job that is more down your alley such as a Pizza Hut Delivery person or a Walmart Greeter. You have been a big disappointment to our district.

In November 2010 the democrats will be out of power and back into the minority where they should be. You can thank pResident Obambi for that.

Mary Jo Kilroy has embarrassed Ohio. She can only nod her head yes for Nancy (Corruptoqueen) Pelosi.
She is the lap dog for Pelosi and we need to start at home to take back Washington.
Get your resume ready and Puhleeze do not try to run for local offices again. You left a path of destruction they before you went to Washington

Grove City, Hilliard, Delaware...whatever. You hilljacks are all the same. The typical political cycle will happen again in November: the incumbent party will get demolished in the mid-terms, and you geniuses will think it's some kind of referendum.

You want to grouse about DUMB-o-crats (high-LARIOUS - seriously: quit your day job) but no one seems to want to take the perspective that a good idea has no party affiliation. So let me ask you: what are your good ideas? If we truly need to "pick up the pieces of our broken country," as I heard someone say this morning, what would YOU do differently?

Kilroy should win. She has been a moderate to left leaning (no surprise) in her positions. She gets back to constituents in a hurry and I've always gotten through when I've called their offices.

She will help hold the banks accountable, as for Stivers who was a bank exec...seems like fox guarding the hen house...

Shame we'll never be able to get away from this two party system. Only way I see any real change and accountability potential is to get away from it. Now it's just smiles and promises, an election, then on to campaigning for the next election with more promises and smiles that will also be broken.

Using the word "moderate" in the same sentence with Mary Jo Kiljoy's name is proof positive that you are indeed just to the left of Cesar Chavez and that idiot in Iran. She has a perfect voting record that agrees with Nancy Pigolosi right down the line. Being a 100% liberal is not my idea of an ideal candidate, but it is an honest position. Don't try to sell us a pig in a poke. Call this one for what it is.

I don't like Dems, but hate the GOP even more. I have a longer memory to recall Bush, Cheney, and Taft. The GOP does NOTHING for Middle Class Americans. At least the Dems do a little.

Our system is set up to put extremists in the primaries, then try to convince a center-right electorate to pick the lessor of two evils in the general election.

I have emailed Mary Jo countless times about issues affecting our city and country. I rarely get a response and if I do, it's to tell me that she's already made up her mind and my opinion does not matter.

At least Stivers has taken the time to talk to me in person.

I will be spending hours this summer and fall helping Stivers.

So you are saying that a politician said to a constituent "your opinion does not matter"? I find that hard to believe. Now, if the politician said "Thank you for your input" and voted the other way, that would seem more believable.

It is another lousy election year in Ohio with too many corporate Democrats facing corporate Republicans. Just because D's are marginally better on economic issues for the middle class is little reason to feel optimism. I just hope people remember what the Republicans under Bush did when they felt no restraint and did what they wanted - starve the middle class, bloat the rich and drive up the deficit with nothing at all in return. Fear of a return of the Republican economic Armageddon will have me voting Democratic again this year - but we're still heading down-hill toward the Corporate Apocalypse.

I just wanted to double check on this, and no offense to Mary Jo, but I followed this bill. I don't remember her being an original sponsor, co-sponsor or speaking about it on the House floor. Sending a press release claiming credit simply for voting for the approps bill that it is attached to is kind of a stretch. However, if you have proof to the contrary, I am happen to admit I was mistaken.

Will we see equal time for my man Steve Stivers.? Don't hold your breath. There are actually idiots that try to convince me that The Dispatch is pro Republican. I guess that why many Republicans like me only take the paper on Sunday (for the ads).
