Emanuel budget speech: No tax hikes, but pension woes loom
Mayor Rahm Emanuel today unveiled a new budget that he says doesn't include new tax, fine or fee increases but contains a warning about the financial havoc the city's looming government worker pension problem could wreak.

that's what happens when you buy union votes by giving into what every excessive demands they have.
At some point ya have to pay the bills or end up in bankruptcy court like many other cities around the country have done.
There isn't enough money on the planet to keep all the unions and welfare whores happy. Cause
What you tax you get less of, what you subsidize you get more of.
Now look around Chicago,, see all them empty MFG buildings? see the long lines at the welfare food stamp offices.
Now with business being forced out by excessive taxation & over regulation,or lame union regulations,the middle class leaving the city before their kids get shot by out of control drug gangs
whom is going to be left to pay those outrageous pension bills?? Hummm?
sure won't be the drug gangs or welfare whores.
