One of the union complaints is that classes may
have as many as 40 students attending. This is
way to many for a proper education. My view is
that the teachers have to take less so that
more teachers can be hired to alleviate this
serious problem. However, the teachers want
more for themselves and smaller classes when
there is no funding. What is their solution?
A strike, of course, which will
result in layoffs and larger classes so that
they can take more of the pie, which is their goal.
And they do not give a rat's butt about our children. It is commonly known as 'collective
bargaining', a process in which the teachers take, and we the people give and give.

here is what FDR (obama's hero) had to say about public unions:
Roosevelt also rejected government unionism. He told the head of the Federation of Federal Employees in 1937 that collective bargaining "cannot be transplanted into the public service. The very nature and purposes of government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer" because "the employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws."

Chicago union president Karen Lewis and her personal attack on Obama's Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, and his lisp (and she is a TEACHER? How did she treat her students? What did she say to them?!!) and then she laughs while talking about her college weed smoking!
That's leadership???? Guess in Chicago, it is!
This was at a Social Justice Conference!
This is what Social Justice is all about?
Attacking and making fun of someone with a lisp?
NO WONDER Chicago schools are in the pits.

Don't these scummy teachers understand that decent wages and working conditions are for corporate CEO's. Everyone one who isn't a millionaire is a scumbag. Government handouts are for the wealthy. I am a republicunt and I approve this message.

Maybe someone should tell these idiots making *only* $75,000/yr plus benefits that they'd be making more money if they weren't paying dues to pay the half-million dollars salary plus benefits of Randi Weingarten, president of American Federation of Teachers, and a quarter-million dollars plus benefits to Chicago Teachers Union president, Karen Lewis.

See my comment, above, then get back to me on who the *decent wages* go to. I'd bet those two are millionaires times over at to the detriment of the rank and file. It's that way with all unions; just look at 'Dick' Trumka.
