Chicago remembers teen victim of city's gun violence

Hundreds of mourners and dignitaries including first lady Michelle Obama packed the funeral service Saturday for a Chicago teen whose killing catapulted her into the nation's debate over gun violence.

gee how can Chicago remember a child killed by gun violence there have been so many.

does Chicago remember any of the 520 kids killed last year?? who was number 17 or 215 ?

ok does Chicago remember any of the thousands of people killed by gun violence over the past ten year??

how can so many people get killed in one city and no one in the city care?

History shows the debate on gun violence left Chicago 30 years ago.

This girl'murder was not the result of "gun violence". This was the result of gang violence. North Dakota and West Virginia are the two most heavily armed states per capita, and they don't have a "gun violence" problem. The don't have gang violence problem either. Must be Chicago and it's Democrats.
Over 2000 murders in Chicago since The Royal Obama's went to Washington. They just now take an interest in Chicago's murder rate and exploit this girls' death to push his anti-gun agenda.
Obama did a shity job as a "community organizer' in Chicago. He can't blame Bush for Chicago's gang violence. But, he will make an attempt to place the blame at the feet of white middle-class, law-abiding NRA members. He will spew the same b.s. as he did during his campaign that "we are all in this together"

This is a sad situation! Chicago seems to be a horrible place! The govt needs to step in and do something! The police depts are out numbered and need to be better equipped to deal with this violence. It is up to the people to become involved and push those gangs out.

Chicago Blacks are so used to having someone, some entity E:G:Government, da welfare office some one do something for them act as a ombudsman.

the blacks have forgotten how to care for, stand up for, protect themselves. The negro's on the south side of Chicago have become the Chicago equivalent of the Palestinian's in the middle east a people who view them self's as victims unable to correct the wrongs and they just sit waiting for someone to step in and save them.

Well here's a news flash Chicago, the they your looking for ain't coming to save black Chicago and here's the reason.

What happen to the black civil right spirit of the 50' 60's where blacks stood up for the rights they perceived they had, they demanded a seat on the bus or in the school. You gotta get off your collective black butts, get out in the hood face down drug dealers buyers, gun morons, demand they clear out of your neighborhood.
King or other civil leaders would be ashamed of Chicago south side and what the people of the hood have allowed to happen to the hood.

Face it people official Chicago law enforcement just doesn't care what happens to the south side of the city. Need proof? thousands of unsolved homicides over the past five years???

you want change you have to bring change to the table.
