Look. I admit I'm in the tank for the Democrats. I'm not skilled and would prefer to live off of other peoples hard work. Pres. Obama is going to see to it that my free benefits keep coming in.

Yeah, I actually left the military when Clinton got elected. I had heard of his open contempt for servicemen and I knew I didn't want to take orders from that.

With Obama, it was pretty easy to see that he was just another narcissistic prick who would lie through his teeth if it got him somewhere. I couldn't believe the media hype; it was like he was the second coming or something. I watched him early on, but after they ramrodded ObamaCare, I was done with the guy. That was it for alot of people, IMO. The anger that propelled the 2010 elections hasn't subsided alot, from what I can tell. Idiot Republicans pulled their Iraq and Dems doubled down with ObamaCare - stupid. Now, we're left with $15T to pay back. Farkers.

The lies Dems are telling coming into this election season, coupled with their anti-citizen acts are going to cost them alot. I suppose Obama knows that and is trying to chip away at the edges by pandering to every division of human he can think of (eg: gays, liberal women, Latinos, club-footed College professors, etc)...

Obama's grandfather, Onyango, was beaten to a pulp and tortured by the British during the Mau Mau Uprising in Kenya. He suffered permanent physical impairments. That's all you need to know about Obama. Revenge against colonial powers puts it all in perspective. And we are his prime target along with Britain and Israel.
...Jews. Please keep a watchful eye on Obama...
I remember either the President or someone in the news saying that his grandfather served in World War II. And after reading your comment about his experience in the Mau Mau Uprising, I did a little research and found the following.

In 1895, the British established Kenya as a "protectorate". This just happened to be the very year that Hussein Onyango Obama was born. By the age of 25, Onyango found himself living in a Kenya that had become an official colony of Great Britian. Serving as a house servant in the city of Nairobi, he was forced to carry identity papers with him at all times that included evaluations of his prior domestic work experiences. Onyango enlisted in World War I to help the British fight the Germans in East Africa and he worked for several years among road crews in Tanganyika which was formerly a German "protectorate" before the British took control of it. During World War II, Onyango served in the King's African Rifles, a British regiment, and traveled to Europe and Asia. Quite the servant, wouldn't you say?

The 1950s Mau Mau Uprising (Rebellion) was an attempt to put an end to British rule in Kenya. But Onyango's involvement in it has never been clear. Maybe he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Having only known a life "provided" by British colonialism, Hussein Onyango Obama may have remained loyal to Great Britian or he may have wanted power restored to the Kenyan people. We don't know. But along with tens of thousands of other Kenyan men, he was held in an internment camp. Detained there for half a year, his wife Sarah claimed that he was tortured by the British soldiers. Her account has been disputed as being unfactual but has yet to be proven opposite. He was finally released but was lice-ridden and aged in his appearance. I wonder if he had those identity papers with him then? And I wonder if they were aware of his veteran military service then?

Great speech or not, the President did get a big approval ratings boost coming out of the 2012 DNC (Democratic National Convention). Something that did not happen at all for rival candidate Mitt Romney with the 2012 RNC (Republican National Convention). In fact, Mr. Romney didn't get any sort of boost at all.

So, why is that important?

It's what the Presidential candidates hope for when coming out of their respective conventions. It's like getting a head start in a race. Now, it may be more difficult for Mitt to catch up. That and given how his Mormon beliefs will play out in the minds of an American people that already have pre-conceived views of the religion and are skeptical of it, to say the least.

And it's nice to be able to have one's own opinion on here, no matter what it is. Instead of just repeating and regurgitating what someone else believes. Although, there is nothing wrong with assoiociating one's self with the opinion(s) of somebody else and supporting them. Isn't that what Topix is all about? Expressing our viewpoints on the issues of the day. And we all should be able to express ourselves on here without fear of someone trolling us to the point we quit using Topix. We are blessed to have freedom of speech in this country. Power to the people! We the people.
