Crooks, the entire bunch of them, doesn't matter if they're Democrat or Republican, they're only looking out for themselves and using our hard earned money to do it.

The majority of the bonuses lined the pockets of the majority in the House. Trust the GOP to cut spending on the neediest but reward their own.

That goes to show that they are still money hungry after all the years they getting overpaid. They didn't become politicians to serve their country and its people the wanted to get elected to have a nice paying job. Luckily it doesn't affect me cause I'm used to not living lavishly.

Any more bullsh!t you want to spew? Read and learn.

From the article:

"Members of both political parties reported bonuses, though Democrats outspent Republicans, with up to $3.1 million in staff bonuses compared with $908,000 for GOP members."

You're part of the problem when you comment from your liberal viewpoint and have no facts.

In fact, your pride-and-joy 'progressives', as usual, out-bonus'd Republicans more than three-to-one.

Members of both political parties reported bonuses, though Democrats outspent Republicans, with up to $3.1 million in staff bonuses compared with $908,000 for GOP members. The remaining $2.1 million CNN found was disbursed by committees. Committee spokesmen did not respond or were not able to delineate between Democratic and Republican staff members.

So WHAT, you partisan loon?!?!? You still haven't gotten the memo??? It doesn't freakin' matter anymore. Both parties are killing us. NEITHER party should handing out bonuses to ANYONE and then turn around and tell us the country is in dire straits.

Get with the program, man. Stop circling the wagons around a group of people who are dead set on killing off the rest of us.

This should be front page news all across America, but it's not. It should be splashed across every news channel, but it's not. These are events that go on behind the scenes of government and the stories are kept relatively buried by mass media. One has to wonder how much money is spent that we NEVER hear about.

The unchecked spending in Washington continues. They have absolutely NO plans on curbing their own taxpayer funded wants and desires butthey will continue to take from the American people and demand that WE sacrifice and cut back and do without.

There is nothing that seems to regulate politicians and the spending of other peoples' money. Even as they debate the idea of adding yet MORE debt to our country, they keep spending. And as I told the above poster, it shouldn't matter what party is involved. These leaders are entrusted with our money and our well-being and for a very long time they have been reckless with both.

I'm disgusted and grow more so each and every day that I watch this country be torn apart and thrown away. I'm disgusted at the divide that has happened and at the uncooperativeness of those whose job it is to work together to solve monumental issues. And I'm disgusted that millions of us sit and allow it to happen; feeling, I suppose, like we can't do anything to stop it. What will finally be the last straw for us?

Wonder why that is? Could it be because the majority of those dishing out those bonuses were Democrats?

Americans WILL NOT do anything......

they b!tch, jump up and down once in a while.....

but, when it comes right down to it......they won't do $hit....

That's the very reason politicians, at every level of government, continue to fluck over taxpayers......

Voting doesn't work anymore in America, because Americans are so willing to give their own Representatives and Senators and political party members a pass on the BS they pull and blame everyone else.

Career politicans have conned Americans into playing the political party game rather than LOOKING at the ACTIONS of the politicans themselves.

The current POLITICAL BS that has been sold to taxpayers and voters is.....
the excuse that BS, wasteful, unnecessary spending is not a big percentage of the total spending and therefore is to be ignored and allowed.

That only large amounts of BS spending is important....This is just one more con game that is being run on Americans and voters.....

ALL BS, wasteful, unnecessary spending of taxpayers money IS IMPORTANT......

The U.S. government is BORROWING 42 cents of EVERY dollars they spend.......
HOW IN THE FLUCK can anyone fall for the excuse that BS spending is just a small percentage and not a big deal.....

It is called WILLFULLY blind......
Americans are WILLFULLY BLIND and just really don't give a $HIT......

Americans deserve to be FLUCKED out of their money and their country....
They are sitting on their azzes and allowing it to happen.....

Americans are beating their chest in all their false pride.....while they are played for the biggest fools on the planet.....

America.....a nation of wussies, whiners, fools and scared little cowards.....
And...the most corrupt and lying government on the planet.

You couldn't be more correct, Tony. But see, the Great Divide was artfully created to contain and control the masses. You have segments of the population so dedicated to their partisan beliefs that they would follow their crazy leaders, celebrity candidates and hateful pundits through the gates of hell if that's what was asked of them. They haven't had an individual thought in years. And because there are so few people who have the ability to think beyond what has been fed into them the government has little fear of an uprising.

Things that MIGHT cause some disturbances though are an unemployment rate closing in at about 15%. Playing with Medicare and Social Security are another sure way to make sparks fly.

I've lived long enough to remember major protests for far less. Yes, Americans have become fat, lazy and apathetic, but start messing with their incomes and I believe they might still have a little fight in them.

<<<The "Gang of Six" briefed other senators on the group's plan after a seemingly quixotic quest that took months, drew disdain at times from the leaders of both parties and appeared near failure more than once.

It calls for deficit cuts of slightly less than $4 trillion over a decade and includes steps to slow the growth of Social Security payments, cut at least $500 billion from Medicare, Medicaid and other health programs and wring billions in savings from programs across the face of government.>>>> http://news.yahoo.com/huge-deficit-cutting-bi...

Here we go, folks. Prepare for another screwing by your friends in Congress. SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, MEDICAID......

Nowhere did I read about cuts in defense spending, cuts for politicians salaries and benefits, foreign aid just to name a few of big money suckers. Any plans to have the wealthy help out?

It's always, ALWAYS the working people who get slammed. ALWAYS. We don't have a voice. We have NO ONE to stand up for us. By God, NONE of us created this economic sh*tstorm that's going on. We didn't vote to give away money like it was candy. We didn't vote to throw it away around the world. We didn't vote to bail out every conniving bank on the planet. Let those who created this mess pay for it.

I don't know about the rest of you, I have nothing left to give to this government.

You call me a loon for pointing out a bold-faced lie and then you get a case of ass when I call you on your unfounded criticism of me? To top it off you accuse me of being partisan and divisive?

Your comments are the partisan comments as between you and me, since the truth has no party, idiot.
