Georgia Rep. Paul Broun said in videotaped remarks that evolution, embryology and the Big Bang theory are "lies straight from the pit of hell" meant to convince people that they do not need a savior.

"God's word is true," Broun said, according to a video posted on the church's website. "I've come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior."

Broun also said that he believes the Earth is about 9,000 years old and that it was made in six days. Those beliefs are held by fundamentalist Christians who believe the creation accounts in the Bible to be literally true.

He sits on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.

First Akin, now him.

He was a democrat until the 1980s. No wonder he's nuts. Democrats don't change their spots. Only their parties. Gubmint news didn't want you to know that. Tough.

The blocked mind can diss the Loving God of Scripture and believe what they want, but they CANNOT explain the Miracles of Lourdes, proven more by secular sources than the Catholic Church.

That's why we need a moderate with an Etch-A-Sketch, like Bishop Rmoney. He will make everything seem alright. People will have Religious Freedom to believe what they want, like Broun, and still make our decisions as a government about science, legitimate rape, stem-cell research, vaccine development, global warming, etc.

(This is just between those of us that support Bishop Rmoney.... My only question is whether Bishop Rmoney is really a moderate or not. He sort of says opposite things to different audiences. He was a liberal governor in Massachusetts and recently even paid for an abortion clause for his sons' in vitro contracts, and he tried to distance himself from Akin, and his Mexican dad was against the war in Viet Nam.... Well, maybe all those videos of him before his base are lies by the liberal media. Maybe Bishop Rmoney didn't mean all the things he said during the Republican primaries. In the end, I guess we just have to believe Bishop Rmoney is the great Mormon WHITE HORSE that Joseph Smith promised us to will take vengeance against the non-Mormon believers.)

We must fight for Religious Freedom because God is God, whether you call it Yahweh, Jesus, Allah, Joseph Smith or one day, even Bishop Romney (when he dies and becomes a God with his own powers and planet). It's all subjective.

The important thing is to protect Religious Freedom and Stop Science.

From Rep. Paul Broun's (R-GA) remarks at the Liberty Baptist Church Sportsman's Banquet on September 27, 2012, in Hartwell, Georgia:

BROUN: God's word is true. I've come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior. You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I've found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth. I don't believe that the Earth's but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That's what the Bible says.

And what I've come to learn is that it's the manufacturer's handbook, is what I call it. It teaches us how to run our lives individually, how to run our families, how to run our churches. But it teaches us how to run all of public policy and everything in society. And that's the reason as your congressman I hold the Holy Bible as being the major directions to me of how I vote in Washington, D.C., and I'll continue to do that.

Evolution is indeed a lie. God created human beings and gave them moral fiber setting them apart from animals.

Music proves it. There is no logical reason harmonies, rhythm and tone would cause profound emotional responses in humans based on evolution.

If it's a lie, then you shouldn't be going to a doctor like Broun who was brain-washed with science. You should be going to a priest for your healthcare, like the good old days.

Evolution is about an organism adapting and being better able to survive in it's environment. It seems obvious then why Rep. Boony doesn't believe in it!

Supporting the wealthy 1% and the Caesars and Pharohs of the land, is straight from hell also. It will be EASIER for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than it will be for a rich man to get into the Gates of Heaven. Period.

This is an obvious attempt to 'dis' republicans. This fellow was a democrat originally. I agree he's nutty, but how do you know he is or is not (can't say that rude, repulsive name) a member of the 'teaparty'?--part of the script and intent of the "newspaper" story, buddy

Regardless, he's one scary guy. How clueless does one need to be? If he really believed in God, he would realize that evolution is part of God's wonderful plan, not a vote against His existence.

Some non-thinkers are so easily led. If some fundamentalist fringe uneducated person said that gravity, blood cells, cement, oxygen and day/night did not exist, would this fellow believe and speak about it in front of cameras for any kind of election?--hmmmm that's kind of like some left wing paper printing a story about a crazy guy... some non-thinkers are so easily led.

U.S. Representative Paul Broun, M.D.(GA-10) today joined the newly created Tea Party Caucus:
“Over the past 15 months, Americans across the nation have expressed outrage over Washington’s out-of-control spending and efforts to ram through an agenda without the consent of the governed,” said Broun.“The Tea Party Caucus is designed to give these frustrated Americans a voice in Washington. The Caucus understands that we represent the American people, and these individuals have demanded Washington implement fiscal restraint, shrink the size of the federal government, and preserve our nation’s free-market system. I am proud to join my colleagues in the Tea Party Caucus to ensure Washington starts listening to ‘we the people.’”

Rude?
Repulsive?
How?
When attending a Tea Party function:
Didn't teabaggers mail teabags to some members of government?
Don't teabaggers wear teabags clipped to their hat? Beltloop? Purses? Signs?
Yes, "non-thinkers" are "easily" led.

I highly doubt God wants anything to do with politics anyways. What's the point, Republicans? If all these Republicans are sooooooo religious, how come they don't all become Reverands, Ministers, or Priests? How come they pick a career like politics!?????
