When Representative Paul Broun of Athens, GA spoke before three hundred people at a gathering intended to lambast President Barack Obamaa s healthcare reform package, he proved that he neither understood anything about dogs and flea collars, nor anything about reality...Broun is, of course, a Pro-Life, Pro-Family, Anti-Tax Republican who believes in the institutionalization of Christian values into our laws.

Well now. He'll probably find many ways to (attempt to) insult me, that just goes with the territory.
But personally, I don't think anyone is as bad as Pekin, IL person is.
Sometimes, actually more often than not, Daniel actually brings good and valid things to the conversation. I just really disagree with him on this issue.
I'm not sure Pres. Obama has it right either, but at least he is making the effort and SOME effort is very necessary.
Eric
That's interesting because more often than not all I ever see out of him is an attempt at snarky humor, Democrat Bashing, Liberal bashing, Anti-semitism, anti-immigrant(even the legal ones), Obama bashing, and quarter truths(not even half truths), not to mention simply attempting to hijack a thread for his own attention. I see him little differently from Wil at all, the same derisive rhetoric, the same tenacity in clinging to his narrow minded and extremely bigoted viewpoint, and the only difference separating the two is the fact that Daniel openly admits to being gay. Much the same as if Ann Coulter actually had a breakdown and came out, that type of "help" is NOT what this community needs at all. Occasional good point? Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

First of all, I live in New York, so I'm not a "hill-billy-sittin'-on-th e-porch-with-a-shotgun-in-case -them-revenooers-show-up" kind of guy, and neither is anyone else around here for hundreds of miles.
Secondly, we have a WRITTEN Constitution in this country that GUARANTEES our RIGHTS. And The Bill Of Rights, specifically the 9th Amendment and the 10th Amendment protects us from the socialism that Obamaniac is attempting to force on us.
And since you're from Canada and favor socialism, I suggest you stay up there away from us Yankees.
And before you go stickin your nose where it don't belong in our business, don't you have any problems in Canada to take care of, or are you in the "worker's paradise" ?
Strident ignorance is no defence. Canada has a written constitution, as well as a Charter of Rights, patriated in 1982 between Prime Minister Piere Trudeau and Her Maj, Queen Elizabeth II. And nowhere does Universal Healthcare infringe upon my personal rights and freedoms, nor would they in your country. For someone who tries to be so Bob Dylan about everything, you sure sound brainwashed about healthcare reform. Don't want healthcare? Then don't go to the hospital! Let's see you take that appendix out by yourself! Or medicate yourself with high priced pharma if you sero-convert HIV+. Geesh, try to think a little bit before you start spouting off what other people have already been pre-programmed to think! We here expect more from you.

Try reading our Bill Of Rights INCLUDING the 9th & 10th Amendments.

ALL of the things not specifically given to the federal government are reserved to the states or the people.

You have no problems in Canada, an obvious "worker's paradise" to worry about ?

Be specific.

I dare you!

Specifically how are the 9th and 10th Amendments to the Constitution being violated as you insist they are?

Again, all you have to scream about is your constitution. Why do those who have no real argumentive facts or statistics always fall back onto that? You tar Canada as a neo-Soviet society, but methinks you are the one who is trapped by propaganda.
My karma has run over your dogma.
