Georgia lawmaker: 2010 should be year of the Bible
#1 May 24, 2009
Just another extreme right-wing Republican trying to play demagogue to get re-elected, and stir up hostility against Obama and Democrats, when they are true to the spirit of the First mendment. So many far-right-wing politicians would rather play partisan politics than obey the Constitution. We have one like that in Iowa, who says that if he is elected Governor, he will issue an Executive order to overturn an Iowa Supreme Court decision. Of course he would not have that authority under the Iowa Cosntitution. But so many americans have never studied Constitutional history, or laws, or civics, or economomics - and the con artists know how to appeal to their emotion, and lack of information and understanding. Many states don't require teaching civics in their high schools, for example.
