After twenty five years of fighting for the democratic party here in the state of Indiana I am finished.

There is no room in the party of Pelosi, Reid and Obama for moderate or conservative democrats.

I voted for Bayh when he was Governor. I voted for him for Senate. I wil not vote for whoever the party tries to replace him with.

I hope you're happy, but in just one year the leadership of the democratic party has destroyed twenty years of democratic gains in places like Indiana and people like me (formerly reliable democrats) are through.

I've seen your posts before and frankly you have the political sense of ...well... a progressive democrat.

I live in Indiana. Someone more progressive can't get elected dog catcher.

So you lose the legislative majority. You lose places like Indiana and Virginia in 2012 making Obama a one term President and you are left with a party that couldn't pass a kleenes, let alone a progressive agenda.

More Centrist Democrats are leaving because they can't be part of Obama's Stalinist genocide against his own race through making Planned Parenthood another Federal agency. The purge in the Party has more to do with successful policies in Haiti, where Obama alone destroyed tens of thousands of Blacks simply by stalling.

One of the few voices of reason from the left.
I find it telling that he didn't tell Reid, just sent his staff a memo.
Tired of the b.s. politik (not a typo) in his own party.
He would have been easily re-elected, he just can't serve with the likes of Reid and Obama, who say one thing and do another.

And another one goes, and another one goes. Another one bites the dust. The progressives are the best thing to ever happen to republicans. They are hated by almost everyone and turning people against ALL democrats. Thank you all you progressive, backwards, washed -up dummies! Keep up the good work till there is no democratic party left. Alright!!!!!!!!

The Democratic Party is falling apart because of there far left agenda. It is appealing to watch them disintgrate before the november elections and then the beating the imposter in the white house will take in 2012.

You are right. He would have been re-elected although it would have been tougher this time.He has resisted the Pelsoi/Reid agenda while still trying to be a democrat. Now the seat goes to the republicans.

How do progressives hope to have a majority or pass an agenda if the party is so far left we can no longer elect democrats in the middle of the country?

Americans came out in record numbers to landslide President Obama into Office because we wanted a progressive agenda. I say good riddance to DINOs like Bayh because they are just another obstacle in the way of President Obama reversing the failed policies of the Bush Administration.

The federal government is broken. I am from Indiana but I have not lived there for several years but Senator and Governor Bayh is a man with character and he fights for what he believes. It is a sad state of affairs when the party (either democrat or republican can be hijacked. We must remind our elected officials that they work for us the voters. OBama and his merry band of thugs share greatly in this dismanntling of the Democrat party.
