Kennedy will make a lot more off his connections outside office than being in. He stands to make tidy profits setting up another political slush-fund for liberals under the guise of helping the addicted. It will likely be another ACORN subsidiary.

Truthfully he's retiring because he knows he will be trounced in the polls. Can't just ride on the Kennedy name anymore, gee people don't remember that dynasty. About time, I've never thought much of the family since JFK. Teddy killed a woman and never did time or even express regret for the incident. We are Americans we don't believe in dynasties.

Why is this guy qualified to help anyone if he cannot stay sober?
Irony of ironies, considering the Kennedy legacy of bootlegging.

Ramstad and Kennedy use their own "stories" to pass legislation to funnel business to treatment centers, which most certainly are special interests feeding from the trough that the criminal justice system places before them based on flawed, injurious laws.

Gee, and he had so many intelligent things to say about how lack of snow proved global warming...

Well, hopefully he can afford a private car and driver so he doesn't kill anyone while intoxicated.

No family in American history - not the Roosevelt, not the Adams, and certainly not the Bush families - have paid a higher price in the service of the people than the Kennedys. And to be perfectly honest with you, I'm sick and tired of listening to them get kicked around by the clueless right wing.
It was announced yesterday that Ben Quayle, son of the former vice-president, will be running for congress. We here, at this glorious moment in the history of our great nation, are proud and privileged to bear witness to the birth of the Quayle family political dynasty.

No one says that. What does it say about you that you just make things up?

Got the feeling that some not so attractive news is being suppress about this Kennedy. His leaving is part of a deal to keep something out of the news. He and Edwards will be doing public service work as a means of retribution.
