To reiterate Patrick Kennedy's super important point.
If the MSM does not make a big story, then it is not a big story.
During the 2006 national elections, the MSM made the inappropriate text messages of Congressman Mark Foley into a bigger story than the Iraq War to give the democrats a chance to attack republicans without having to take a pricipled stand on the war.
The MSM has put an information lock-down on any bad news coming out of Afghanistan during this election cycle.
I wonder how Cindy Sheehan's tent city near the Washington Monument is faring??
Mark Foley was an out spoken opponent of homosexuals so to find he was sexually harassing college boys in their dorm WAS newsworthy. Are you sad he was shamed out of office because I sure as hell am not.

Cindy Sheehan's son died in Iraq and she opposed the war when dick and Bush were calling ANYONE who opposed it "anti-American". Had dick and Bush known anything about our founding fathers, they would know that Thomas Jefferson said "Dissent is the greatest form of patriotism". She had courage to stand up to those tyranical war mongers who took us into an unnecessary war that has now cost the lives of 4,500 US soldiers.

Why are you not bothered by the 24/7 coverage of an ex-governor who says things like "Dinosaurs roamed the earth just 6,000 years ago". or Obamas "death panels' and other mindless, ridiculous statements, never mind that the economy sucks, people can't find jobs, highest rate of foreclosures in history but we have to have this political novice IDIOT shoved down our throat every day.
She is irrelevent, ignorant and putrid.

The point is that the MSM, at the behest of the real power structure, the Bilderbergs, picks stories that advance their agenda. I don't care that Foley resigned, my point being that the MSM can take a story like Foley and crowd out a much more serious story, like the Iraq War.

You must have noticed that Cindy Sheehan, who I respect for consistency, got alot more play by the MSM when Bush was in office than she does now.

Patrick Kennedy understands this, as he complained about the lack of coverage of the Afghan War, knowing that without MSM coverage, people forget.

Palin contributes what she can, BUT like you said she gets alot of play as I think the MSM is trying to bolster her to run against Obama.

In any case, it is the MSM that has the power and that is the issue where myself and Patrick Kennedy are in agreement on.
