Oops....Not quite as true as you thought.

Countries where same sex marriage is legal:
Belgium, Canada, Norway, Spain, Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden (as of May 1st).

Countries where legal recognition is given to same sex relationships as civil unions or registered partnerships:
Andorra, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greenland Iceland, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

Countries where same sex marriage is currently under consideration:
Australia, China (PRC), European Union, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Portugal, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Taiwan.

Countries where civil unions or registered partnerships are under consideration:
Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Jersey, Liechtenstein.

This list doesn't include countries that recognize marriages performed in other countries but have not extended the right within their borders or countries where marriages and civil unions are recognized in some states but not on the national level.

Actually, it looks like we're trying to play catch up with the rest of the developed world...

Does not matter who says it is "legal" it matters what God states in his Word & for him it is an abomanation. Read Romans 1 where he states he gives people up to their own devices. The good news is that anyone who repents of his sins & turns to God for the forgiveness of his can receive it. God states in his word he is willing that no man should perish, but all men come to repentance. This same sex thing will just be another road to complete destruction for any person caught in it, & only because of what Christ did on the Cross can anyone turn from sin & receive his complete pardon. God did not make us in such fashion & we are stealing from God when we deny his claim upon our lives. It does not honor God and anyone that is being utterly true knows this. God has compassion on anyone who is trapped in sin & wishes to turn from any sin. So it is what God thinks not what any person or nation thinks. We will have to account to God for what life we let...

Actually, that is your choice of beliefs, not all Christians agree with you on that. There are those who believe in the exact same God that you do and who base thir beliefs on the exact same book as you and who have chosen to believe that God loves His Lesbian and Gay children just as He chose to create us and that our homosexuality is no more sinful tha your own heterosexuality within the commitment that is marriage. I have been to a number of marriages of same sex couples that have have been blessed in the name of God, even without legal recognition.
Read Romans 1 where he states he gives people up to their own devices.
I have, it's written by Paul who viewed all sex in a negative way to begin with and the verses you are refering to were meant as a condemnation of Christians who were engaging in Pagan rituals which involved sex, not as a condemantion of homosexuals.

But you are advocating repentance on your terms, based on what you have chosen to believe. Who are you to say that those who were born to be homosexual must repent of that?

Again, in your choice of beliefs, you've offered no convincing argument that your brand of Christianity is any better or more true foor that matter than any other.

While God did not make you to be homosexual, on what do you base your opinion that he did not create homosexuals. We've been around as long as anyone knows and there is a great deal of evidence that we are born to be this way.

Religious certitude, got to love it. We can't disagree with you because of your absolute certainty that you speak for God on this.

Even hubris?

Your certitude prevents you from seeing that there is far from a consensus on what God "thinks" on this or almost any other subject, which is why this a secular nation, not a theocracy based on your choice of beliefs. As a society we focus on the here and now, the hereafter is an individual concern.
You do realize that you are included in your "We" don't you?

It is not because being gay is more sinful then any other, it is practicing that sin, it is just as sinful for a hetersexual to have sex outside of marriage, it is a sin to have an affair with another person if you are married, there are many other sins too...it is just this sin causes greater harm. Lying, stealing, cheating, bearing false witness...etc. etc. etc. so we are not picking on you, we want to help you, the same help I would want if I am going the wrong way. God is the one who makes the rules, to direct us to himself, we go away from him when we do not adhere or understand his laws...it is out of love that God even deals with us..
