I think one could say that Hawaii started all this many years ago. Hopefully they will not be "number 50" again.

More accurately, the LDS and RCC started all this IN Hawaii many years ago as prep for taking on the other States, just as the Spanish Civil War was the Nazis' dress rehearsal for the Blitzkrieg.

The Senate begins debate on the bill Monday @ 10:30 am HST (4:30pm EST), and if passed out of committee it goes to the full Senate for a vote.

Hawaii Senate- 24D, 1R

Everyone agrees it will easily pass the Senate.

Hawaii House- 44D, 7R

Everyone is being more cautious about the House, but current count is around 30 in support.

I doubt the Gov would have called for a special session just to pass marriage equality if he hadn't been assured the voters were there, but never say never.
