Great Job to the Stop Rail Now committee despite not winning the election! They were against a giant political beast and his selfish zombies but got quite a lot of supporters with a narrow margin. What an awful city government we have!!!The only people that will actually benefit is the rail developers, muffi and of course, the people that are smiling with huge pockets.

I am for the rail, it will be so efficient! even if I had a car, id use rail to go to town and stuff. But there is the fact that EVERYONE gets raised taxes, so people in like Kaneohe will probably never ride the rail. And I think thats a problem. But I have plans to move to San Fransisco in 3 years so yeah. But I catch the bus from Waianae to Ala moana Mon-Thr to go to school(Heald). Its a long bus ride I'll tell you that. So I really believe this rail thing will be great! Oh yeah and Reading some people's post here make realize why people think Hawaii is full of idiots -_-

The rail is ok. But I know there will be big delays and problems. Just look how long it took to build the H3? Dig here, dig there find bones here and there. Stop the construction...Blah...Blah...B lah...Envromental groups, legal problems, etc. Ooops no more money, raise the taxes. We all know how things are done here in Hawaii. Just look at how long it takes to just fix our disgracefull, shamefull roads and highways. Look how long it take to finish road construction.

Wrong! You'll use your car to go to the rail, then once in town you'll walk, take a cab, or a bus, and you'd better not be carrying anything, then you ride the rail back to your car.

Rail is a bad design, badly executed, badly organized, poorly managed, and doesn't solve the damn problem. No rail: Cayetano 2012

Carlisle was asked yesterday why we need rail. His answer? Because people on the Leeward side want to eat out, and the rail will bring hundreds of new restaurants. Who will have money to eat out after paying for the rail? Not the train riders, that's for sure.

They wail and wail, but soon they fail/ No matter how much the money quale, their faces pale/ They know the truth, Cayetano wins, soon no more f'ing rail. Better back your mainland trash up and raise your sails, from the islands run and tuck your tails, because the special prosecutor soon to be appointed will not fail/ to send all you criminal trash to jail, for your taxpayer thefts for rail.

Seriously though, heavy, elevated rail has one and only one purpose, to be used by the military to haul heavy armored vehicles and the like around during civil unrest. Go read the emergency plans--and then go vote tomorrow for BEN CAYETANO and put a special prosecutor on these guys tails.
