Just what the District needs: a Tea Party guy or a
former beauty queen who needs to re-watch Gloria Swanson.. I guess that Beth Anne Rankin spent the last few years listening to novices bang on piano keys and hit high shrill notes ... and decided "what the heck, why not run for Congress?" After having smelled the fumes of Sarah Palin in Little Rock and snuggled up to the warm political corpse of Jay Dickey, and pledging to "Return to Basics" and move America forward by returning to original principles, Ms. Rankin jumps into the contest. A great and successful contestant for Miss Arkansas, Ms. Rankin needs to understand (as do voters) the difference between a contestant and a candidate. |

LOL. What did Mike Ross do before running for office? Other than live off his ol' ladies paycheck? I'm not a big Rankin fan, but I'll vote for her over that clown Ross. Did you type this little diatribe out before Obamer ran for president? Gentle Reader, I fear you are a gentle moron. |

Atleast Ross was a pharmacist then state rep then a state senator. As one lady stated last week.. Beth Ann is Arkansas' Sarah Palin.

Was he? Really? You reveal yourself again as a bumbling fool. He is not, and has never been a pharmacist. His wife is. He ain't. He's a career politician, much like you appear to aspire to be. Hate to tell you, but that teet is about to dry up for you libs! |

Both parties are bad, no party is innocent here.
The decision between the parties are bad and bad. Yea, he and his wife were in business together, so what. He also was Chief of staff to the Lt. Governor in the late 80s and early 90s. And yes he was also a state senator. There's a difference between a career politician and an elected community servant. A politician will give a baby a piece of candy in public while at the same time, try to figure out how to take it back with the other hand when no one is looking. Me, I'm if something is the right thing to do, I have no problem risk losing the next election. |

So what? So what you said wasn't true. You said he was a pharmacist. He's not. He has made his living off of the TAXPAYER his entire life!(First elected at the age of 29.) I don't know what the rest of that psyco-babble was about. Maybe to cover up the fact you just got caught trying to make Ross look better than he is. That's what you Democratic shills do. |

In line 2 of preceding, numerals were
entered between "pu" and "nches"- should read "punches." |

No, I said he and his wife were both pharmacists. Then he worked for a the Lt.Gov ernor, then became an elected official. His record nor him being a Democrat has anything to do with it. I'm not blinded by party lines like you are sir. I do not let one party control my thoughts, my beliefs, nor my vote at the polls sir.

You were attempting to make insinuate he had a professional career before he came on the public tit. You were wrong. He doesn't have the sense it takes to be a pharmacist. Don't give me that crap about party lines. You know good and well you are a shill for the Democrats. You've been crawling around here for months crowing about how you've helped all of them win campaigns. Now your cheapshot at Rankin exposes your partisanship. It's not a bad thing, just don't act like you are something you aren't. |

I'm not going to ignore what they guy did before he went into public service. If he makes a living at public service so what. I hope he does a good job, if he continues to do so, then he deserves to be re-elected. If not, then he deserves to be voted out. Next about parties, if you read through my past posts, I've critized both parties, and I give praise when it is due. Both parties have good points, and both parties have screwed up. And about me campaigning, I've campaigned for 2 Democrats and 1 Republican ( A chief justice to keep him in office). My cheap shot at Rankin was not my words Get Real. If you read one of my previous posts. I said "As one lady stated last week, Beth Ann is Arkansas' Sarah Palin." I've heard that before from people around the state both Ds and Rs.

OK, let's start over here since you are crawfishing like hell. Now you don't care, but Mike Ross was never a pharmacist, as you clearly stated above. His wife made the money. He has made a living us taxpayers. And it's not because he's made good decisions, it's because Jefferson County and the delta. So you attempt to mislead. First example. Now you are trying to make out like you didn't agree with the woman who made the Palin comment about Rankin. Anyone with a 2nd grade reading comprehension can look at your quote above and see that's bullsh*t. You attempt to mislead. Second example. And I'm sure you don't see anything wrong with someone making a living as a politician. Very telling. |

I'm beginning to understand. Get Real has the reading comprehension of a
2nd grader and the potty mouth of a 6th grader. |

Thank you gentle! Get Real, clearly read what I wrote. I said that he and his wife were both in business together. Second, he earned his job for the Lt.Gov ernor's office, and he earned his elected offices. Being a state senator doesn't pay a whole lot dude, less than 20k per year. Again I said if he makes good decisions he deserves to be re-elected, if he doesn't he deserves to lose his office. If he does good work in the Delta that's ok, that's his job. He's not the representative from or of Columbia County, he represents half the state. He's their representative too. Whether or not I agree with the woman is my business. I don't know what Beth Ann stands for or her positions on issues, I will have to learn more about her stances. Just because I quoted someone doesn't mean I favor her beliefs. Our elected leaders are paid to do a job. So what. It's in the Constitution. Have a problem with it, go amend the Constitution.

Get Real-please follow the bouncing ball and you may
move your lips while reading. For those waiting for Beth Anne Rankin's positions, be patient. She is spending months reading and researching issues and forming/refining her views. Or not. What is happening is the National Republicans and their ghost writers (Dick Morris, the guy' who does unpleasant things with prostitutes' toes, Frank Luntz, a once respectable pollster who now hires out, and Sean Hannity, the chicken hawk patriot and barely high school graduate who, with Oliver North, is sucking money from military victims) are polishing the Candidate Campaign Manual, complete with talking points, responses to questions, statistics and poll results, quick quips and sound bites etc. This is like a Pageant Prep Book, so Beth Anne will be (unlike Sarah Palin} a quick study. She will perform well, and project a perky, well-informed, and personable image She does it well and has good stage presence. The Heritage Foundation is even offering a Cliff's Notes version of the Constitution. |

84 and Gentle Moron,
Please take a second and remove your heads from each others asses so you can hear this. ROSS WAS NOT A PHARMACIST. 84, you said he was, making out like he was already making a good living and is serving because of his need to be a "public servant". Truth is, you've stated several times on here how you want to be one of his ilk. Makin' a livin off kissin ass and spending taxpayers money. I meant it when I say you are a nice guy, but you are so full of hot air and bullshit that if you pop it's gonna be one stinky mess. Gentle Moron, you described a helluva lot more honorable way to get elected than the path Barack Hussein Obama used. It's funny how you find fault with so many Republicans when the Democratic party is nothing but a sewer with a foreign born Muslim leading them. Off to bed. Adios amigos! |

Yes he was, and he sold his practice a few years ago sir to a big pharma for 450k. I never said he was already making good from being a public servant before he was elected to federal office. State elected offices don't pay a whole hell of alot Get Real. Nor did I ever say I wanted to be any thing like MIke Ross. The same people leading the Democrats are the same people leading the Republicans, big money corporations. Oh since you are against foreigners too, you know that Adios amigos is Spanish, which you consider a foreign language. So foreigners aren't allowed, but you are allowed to use their language?

There you go putting words into my mouth, young man. I'm against illegal immigrants, not "foreigners" as you call them. Nice try though. Now you are just outright lying. Ross' wife was the pharmacist. They owned Holly's in Prescott. Ross was NOT a pharmacist. But don't let the facts get in the way of trying to prove your point. I question your 450K figure as well, sounds kind of low. You got proof of that? |

Dude, read what I said....They were in business together. Should could have been the office manager or CFO. I'm sorry it wasn't 450k, it was 420k.
On September 22, 2009, an investigative report co-published by a New York City-based group ProPublica and the The Politico reported that in 2007, Ross was paid $420,000 for the building and lot of his family pharmacy in Prescott, Arkansas by USA Drug, a Pine Bluff, Arkansas-based pharmacy chain. The property had been assessed in 2007 by the county at $263,000; an independent appraiser hired by ProPublica put the 2009 value of the property at $198,000, although it was well into an economic recession that began in 2008. |

Thank you for clarifiying that, because everyone can see you were implying he was a pharmacist (aka successful). He's a leech. |
