Hypocrite,,, you cry about disciplining children and at the same time advocate the so-called mother's "rights" to murder their unborn children.

I read the article. I find this proposition an interesting idea, though I don't like the idea of GOVERNMENT having a hand in anything.

Whether we realize it or not though, various government,(that is local, state and federal) regulations really strangle the good that can be done in this country.

An example of this sort of involuntary parental usurpation has already taken place and has helped form the present young generation. AND its usurpers will not take any responsibility for it.

And this present generation has been so indoctrinated that it is incapable of thinking for itself to break away; but persues those who think differently from themselves, often with verbal abuse and using the law to power play to get its way; refusing all others.

When a family has had trouble with the law, and the parents have trouble with the kids, the judge can require the parents to take government sponsored parenting classes.(but will not take the responsibility for their effectiveness)

As one who has used the bible in rearing children, I can say I am pleased with the results. My children are SOUGHT OUT in the workplace because their employers KNOW they can be counted on. I know that my kids can think for themselves and don't need a college professor's opinions to use as gospel. They are able to discern. They are also compassionate and responsible and not afraid to speak out when they know something is wrong. They have a backbone. This is not the norm.

The powers that be can introduce teaching freely in the public schools that is moral anathema to the parents, so instead of working WITH the parents, works against them. This is partially why the home school movement is growing.

Oh, and for the critics of this, just last week I found two articles in the Washington times last week about the "myth" of "taking money from the public schools" (June 21st 2009) and about "Teaching morals: a parental priority".(June 14th 2009) I also found an article a few years back in which it stated that colleges and businesses were actively seeking homeschooled students because their parents actually cared about their children's learning and the students were more educated and willing to work. So it is no surprise that this is spearheaded by the lawyer who champions the home school movement when it is under attack by liberal and government sources.

Our personal escape didn't come about easily. In our children's formative years they were reared out of country.(courtesy of military deployments) I went to work to put them in private schools because I didn't have the government mandated education to homeschool them myself.

It CAN be done. The children can be saved; but not without effort; and persecution of the parents. And believe me they will get it.(even after the kids have grown)
