The Democrats will take God out of the dictionary. That is probably their next move. It will be like aint because aint aint right and God is not right because God aint in the dictionary.

the godless? that's a totally bigoted statement and you should be ashamed of yourself for writing it. there is no proof that anyone is better for having a belief in god as opposed to those who may not.
and just so you know there is supposed to be a seperation of church and state this is just another veiled attempt by a certain religious denomination to force thier views on others. it's dispicable.

who's god(s) are we talking about here? many people in this country worship many different gods. no god has any right to be associated with this goverment or given and rights pertaining to goverment. likewise no god has any right to be mentioned in inscriptions of goverment or public buildings nor religious artifacts of any kind be placed in goverment buildings. this creates the air that that particular god(s) is some how superior then others and somehow implies goverment backs this. and it cannot be allowed.

When this country was founded there was only one God. Now that we have many more different people God is everybody's God. It is only a matter of how they look at the meaning. It is sorta of like having a car, the make is your choice. Like God the choice of your God is your choice, you decide who that God is and it is personal.

How Christian of you to assume that only Republicans are Christian. Like Larry Craig and Mark Foley you mean? The only thing Christian about them is when they are having sex with boys they yell "OH GOD, OH GOD".

Dems rule! President Hillary Clinton will save us all!

There are just as many Christian Democrats that like their same sex as Republicans. When I look at the people of San Francisco and see them, I am quite sure a lot of them go to church and like the same sex, but I can assure you that most are Democrats. Tell me that they are Republicans.

That was a stupid dispute. I think that Freedom of Religion would require the government to ask the petitioners if they want the word God there. Instead these knuckleheads completely banned the word as if only Christians use God. It's for a dead guy, for Christ's sake!...Oops!

What does that have to do with anything, oh follower of Christ? lol Yet another thread about something completely unrelated to homosexuality or abortion and yet, here we are, talking about 'the gays'.

There are 300 million people living in the US and how many people live in San Francisco? 3 million? Maybe less?

Your point was about .o1% of the country. Your argument has no substance and is as meaningless as your motto,'compassionate conservative'. Which, by the way is a party that is quite saturated with gay republicans who, thanks to small minded people like you, know how to keep quiet. What they do in their private lives is none of your business. But here you are, obsessing over homosexuality, again.

Seems to me that republicans do a lot of projecting, don't they? People in glass houses....

You might be surprised at the beliefs of our founding fathers. The were mostly Deists. They didn't believe that Jesus was the son of god and they didn't believe in the power of prayer.

That's why the first Congress had no problem voting unanimously for the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, which included this language:

"Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."

Wow there alot of atheists on this thread....maybe the anti-religious folks on here would be happier in Europe where atheism, drugs, gov't handouts, and general self-indulgence is king. There they are "enlightened" like all the leftists here and so are offended by people who attend church and might believe in something other than SELF.

Liberals are arrogant, egotistical, selfish loudmouths....so what are you hippies going to do now, huh? You gonna protest about this because your little atheist world took another body shot?Go ahead, make asses of yourselves, that's what you do best. Pompous asses...

Liberal Hippies? Spoken like a neocon stuck in a bubble.

Christian Republicans: You mean like Mark Foley and Larry Craig.

Yeahhhh....I think atheism and liberalism are looking better and better. At least they are honest about who they REALLY are. You can keep your holier-than-thou, bigots-only club card. No one here wants to join. You've been outed.

Yeah and folks like you would undoubtedly be happier in the middle east where religion rules! Religious right wingnut republican CONS DESTROYED this nation when you got control.

Glad you all showed your true selves. You will NEVER rule the US again! Pompous, elitist, incompetent, ASSES! Not to mention all that sexual perversion in men's rest rooms, seducing children in the Congressional page scandal, frequenting prostitution, adultery galore and all that cover up. Who knew the party of "family values" would end up being the party of the "endless orgy"!

And those are just the scandals concerning SEX! There is still the dishonesy, bribery and treason.

LMAO!

Its a sad day in hell when someone cant force thier religion on someone else. Seperation of church and state means SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.

Just another christian who realized the harm of religion in politics
