He would be a nobody if he had not stolen so much from Tesla the true father of modern electrical industry.
Good choice for Ohio to send to Washington DC. Another greedy crook.

Wrong to not do the Wright Brothers

Edison was a publicity hound but he did not steal from Tesla. Edison did a fabulous job putting electricity in shoe leather [making the systems work]. They had a publicity war over AC and DC power. Tesla sold his AC patents to George Westinghouse and the physics favored AC power as you can see today. Get your history straight.

Gosh! We've got a new name to throw into the pile of rotten vegetables we can throw at miscreant politicians. You know, the politicians (some even well-meaning) that hold up the progress the state is attempting and needs to make.
We can accuse them of Allen-ianating the public!.:-)

I voted for the Wright Brothers. Not only did they change the world but they stayed in Ohio for the most part. Edison left the state as a young boy. I thought that the statue representing Ohio should be of someone that stayed in Ohio.

I agree, although I find it disturbing that whoever chose the candidates thought that the best examples of great Ohioans are all people who made their fortunes, and history, elsewhere.

Actually, sitting here, I am having a hard time recalling anyone outside of politics who lived in Ohio and did something historic in Ohio. Gah.

Edison electrocuted helpless animals to prove his point that DC was better than AC!
Plus this SOB stole most of his ideas from European inventors and from Tesla, but knew how to market them.

Edison is a D.A.M. fraud! A JOKE! A laughingstock!

No, I am not with or for PETA, I just ate two beef taco!
