What do you think of the point that america is full, that adding more people is not ecologically sustainable? Does a despolation of america even by legal immigration bother you?
An economy grows in two ways: Increased productivity or expanding markets. Much of our economic growth is due to immigration.

If we protect America from "desplotation" (whatever that is) do we just assume that the rest of the world will be desplotated? How can we protect the world from desplotation? if that is the issue, it seems the immigration should be ignored, and anti desplotation laws and treaties should be enforced.

Despoliation. Why such upset over a mispelled word?

Having more mouths to feed requires more resources. On a balance sheet that equates to more numbers. But just like our jobless recovery, numbers may improve but who is benefited?

It takes something like 4 to 5 times more land to sustain one person in first world conditions vs third world conditions.

From a world resources point of view, keeping third world people at home is more ecologically sound.

China has a resource problem because of the size of its population. The USA faces the same resource problem if we continue to grow. The native populations of USA and Canada are not growing and are balanced with the environment, but immigrants throw off the balance as well as the fact that they like to have large families and so are crowding people already here out.

This is sustainability. This makes sense in my opinion - too many cultures are not meant to mix.
America is Multi-ethnic,white..yes...mult i-cultural...no. OWG..It causes too much division and America has finite resources!! Americans first!!

So you are advocating limite to immigration for environmental reasons. The problem is you only care about the US environment. If these people act the same way in other countries the environmental concerns are not addressed at all.

Immigration is not the way to address your environmental concerns. If you want a growing economy, however, then we need growing markets. Immigration affords us a growing market.

They can do less environmental problems if they stay home.

Immigration does not improve an economy when you have idle labor. You just lower wages. Higher wages are circulated to create greater wealth.

A lot of the economy you are advocating is just funny money, maybe an improved bottom line but not a better way of life for the people already here.

Progress and growth are the concepts that have gotten us into the financial mess we know have and its about treating people as though they are machines only beasts of burden.
