Was FBI afraid to probe Fort Hood shooter?

Jul 19, 2012 | Posted by: Joe DeCaro | Full story: www.cbsnews.com

The FBI was too concerned about political correctness and did not launch an investigation into a man who was later charged with killing 13 people in the 2009 attack in Fort Hood, Texas, despite significant warning signs that he was an Islamic extremist bent on killing civilians, according to a lawmaker briefed on a new report about the terrorist attack ...

from cbsnews:

"Much was already known about the series of oversights and missteps the government made leading to the terror attack at the Fort Hood Army post. Soon after the attack, it was revealed that members of two FBI anti-terrorism task forces saw emails between the Army psychiatrist and al-Awlaki beginning in December 2008. Those task forces reviewed the communications and decided they were in keeping with Hasan's research at the time, and as a result, no formal investigation of Hasan was opened. Hasan was writing a research paper about the effects of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"But McCaul said Webster's report offers some new details that show the FBI was concerned about investigating an American Muslim in the military, and that is why an investigation was not pursued."

"... When agents saw emails between Hasan and al-Awlaki, they asked the FBI's Washington office to talk to Hasan's bosses, according to a government official briefed on the findings who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the Webster report. But the Washington agents thought that interviewing American Muslims who visit extremist websites was a sensitive issue and did not reach out to Hasan's bosses at the Defense Department, the official said.

"'It shows you the length of the political correctness stuff going on,' McCaul said after he was briefed on the findings of the independent review Wednesday."

That these killings were classified as "workplace violence" by the Obama admin just adds to the PC "stuff".

The depths that the liberal mindset has reached into the American psyche has made us our own worst enemies.

Political correctness is ruining us. If it weren't for that, this freak not only would not have been in the Army, he would have been in Manzanar.

If I remember correctly, just at the start of the US entering into the war in Iraq, there was an incident involving a Muslim US Army officer killing, or wounding, some of his brother officers. That was hushed rather quickly. This FBI report on Major Hasan smells more like trying to do the "politically correct" thing about Hasan's Muslim extremists connections-just like the FBI field agent that took a report from a flight instructor who reported an Arab male wanting to learn how to fly without having to learn to takeoff, or land. That report was dismissed, and the Arab flew a commercial airliner into one of the World Trade Centers on 9-11.

People get killed when the FBI and CIA play politics and not law enforcement, or protecting our country from foreign attacks. It appears the 'oath of office' means little of nothing.

I agree, they have tried to pretend religion was not a motive. But the murderer was sentence to death.

Americans, sadly, forget so quickly unless the media is cramming it down our throats.

When is that letter gonna surface. The one that Major Nidal Malik Hasan wrote complaining about being coerced to diagnosis his comrades with anxious mood disorder instead Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. National Security must have retrieved it from the chain of collusion. Political correctness duck and cover in the American Holocaust (death fix it - Terminal InJustice / murderbyproxy). A mongoose Protocol Action. Ditch government filtering USE the search engine webcrawler to locate Alert the Hazard - scribd.

I AM YHVH DEITY THE FARTHER CIPHER 888

YHVH suspends mercy in response to god (government of deceivers) suspension of inalienable rights (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) in the American Holocaust (cointelpro tactics / genocide).

YES!!! It wouldnt be politically correct

The Obama admin would have protested, and Eric Holder would have sued them.

Liberals hate the truth, and people die because of it
