Liberalism is "Liberty." It is the freedom to do as your conscience dictates without impeding another's rights. Fleeing oppression in mother Europe, our founders established a nation where personal belief and self-determination are protected, not persecuted, where hard work is rewarded, not demanded, and where each person is bestowed with the ability to better his or her life because of citizenship, not class. Liberals believe in freedom of speech to protect us from political oppression. Liberals believe in sound regulations to protect us from economic oppression. Liberals believe in just laws to protect us from social oppression. And Liberals believe in quality education to protect us from the oppression of ignorance.
Liberalism is "The Pursuit of Happiness." It is the freedom to create an environment where the individual can excel. What is freedom if it cannot be used to better our lives? A truly free society must be one where its members can rise above their limitations and expand their futures. We call it "The American Dream," and it's alive and well in the heart of the Liberal. Liberals believe in equal opportunities for all to rise above our means. Liberals believe in equal opportunities to rise above our education levels. Liberals believe in equal opportunities to rise above our social status. And Liberals believe each and every family should have an equal opportunity to make this world better for their children.
.
I thought the American Dream was something you earned. Not something you sat on your couch waiting for each month. Get a job, Stamos.

i agree totally with you Lunenburg, they are the scum that has caused our nation to be where it is today it started with all the dems. all the democrats do is take from the average worker and give to the poor. so sick of it, been a single mom, never on welfare; worked 2 jobs and in my fifties now I get no tax breaks for not bleeding off the system, we should get bonuses for that or some type of tax credit; now that i have no exemptions i have 300 bucks a week taken out of my pay in fed taxes alone !! nice.......who in the heck am i supporting the drug dealers, the drug addicts and the woman who can't take responsibility for their own lives to get on birth control. sickening ......it is all sickening
If you're not a minority or dirtass broke, the Dems don't give an f about you. You hardworking successful jerk. How DARE you make money to support your children and provide a decent stable life for you and your family? Think about all the money you spend on pointless things, like your children's education, their health insurance, or their college fund. You should be paying every cent of your paycheck to the government other than for basic (I mean basic) shelter, potatoes and bus tickets. THERE ARE OTHERS IN THIS COUNTRY THAT ARE ENTITLED to free housing, cars, paid bills, free college education, free food, and money from the government. Just because they've made bad decisions in their life and don't have a job doesn't mean you've got to spit in their faces by having a job and providing your kids with a future either.

This is the sad truth in our Bizarro country right know. In this state we have a city, Waltham, that is getting six million dollars to "update" an older MDC pool all the while our schools crumble. What the F#@k kind of public pool is worth six million dollars?? Good hack job Deval and this is what Coakley represents for you if you vote for her!! Your schools will crumble but we will waste money on pet projects that her friends and Unions can benefit from!!!

If you have to work for a living, the republicans have no time for you. Their only notable constituents are the haves and the have-mores.

Repubs will always take the side of the Unitil over that of the overcharged homeowner. Every time they have control they prove it, then cower at the end of their terms and say they weren't being REAL conservatives and try to claim that government itself is the problem.

Republicans are the problem.

This blind hatred of the "rich" is driving much of the left's apparently self-destructive behavior? At the root of leftist thought (contradiction in terms?) is the sin of envy. Envy leads to hatred and rationalized destruction of anyone who has more than said leftist. It is a nihilistic, destructive philosophy (can it be so described) that lays waste societies with ruthless efficiency.

The end game of the Leftist is to rule the nation and eventually the world by bringing us down to the lowest social common denominator through the manipulation of those like you who obsessively despise wealth.

And how much of your wealth have you given away today?

Coakley is a twit. She REFUSED to take action against Sal DiMassi. The Federal Attorney General intervened and has indighted Sal and his friends.
Coakley plays the "good old boys network" and goes along with the rest of the party lines. Like Flanagan, don't go against the power elite, just say yes, yes, yes.
Luther can you explain what a "good ole boy network" is to Kevin Starr and his group? Thanks

Correct on all of the above, she has refused to investigate any politician or influential person of criminal misconduct, forcing the FBI to come and do her job.
Some of the Mass. Chief's of Police may endorse her, but the ones that know the truth certainly do not.
but take a look at the candidates, not one of them is worth voting for. They all want to be Kennedy's, and we all know how he worked out for Massachusetts
Now now Jim, what is good for the goose is good for the gander! We cannot have a selective process of accountability here you know!

I know it sounds like I'm flip flopping on the issues here,.... please allow me to explain,....you see,.I Think I am an intelligent person. I have moments where I am completely rational, when I make so much sense that the school professors want to publish my work. At other times, I'm completely lost, hallucinating up a storm. I think that's where people get confused. They can't understand how someone as bright as I am can so quickly dissolve into a pile of senseless jibber-jabber. Hell, I don't even know how I do it.
I can't go 24 hours without a couple of major psychotic episodes. I am all alone, with no one to help me reality check. I have an individual therapist, but I am not his only patient, and I don't like to bother him with my crazy questions and irrational fears. So, I sit at home in my Mother’s refurbished basement Inlaw apartment and suffer alone along side my 12 year old computer with windows “95”. I can't sleep because of the nightmares. Sometimes I forget to eat, because I forget that I have to actually put the food in my mouth in order to get the benefits of satiation. I know. Unbelievable. I can understand braided time-space, but I can't seem to understand that I have to eat in order to gain nutrition. I don't get it. I swear I don't get it.
