Let's hope the owners of Knights Inn will do some major renovations to the Valley Cinemas. That place is a smelly, filthy place. It's not Chris A's problem as he just rents the space from the Knights Inn owners. There has been no upgrading of the cinema property in years. I won't go there because of the shoddiness and smell.

Wonder if Arcuri knows that the owners of the Knights Inn put their money behind Hanna in the last election and not him.

I bet he did. Someone had to apply for this money from Recovery Bill funding. You better believe there someone checked out Carlisto's alliances. I'm just pleased that some of the Recovery money is filtering down to Little Falls. Let's hope they also look for a new cook at Knights Inn.

I'm wondering whether some of the fiscal conservative posters who squawk about the possibility of tax monies going to the quarry project are going to get flustered about federal funds shoring up an existing business. I personally think that we should grab anything that floats in our direction. We deserve and need anything the politicos have to offer more than most communities .The late governor of Alaska , although I didn't agree with his policies or politics, was a master at "pulling the pork".They love him there... and for good reason.

I'm sure MSF is Ok with stimulus "loan" moneys going to Knight's Inn. It is our tax money being spent but they are close enough to main street to qualify. That's why there are no complaints.
What they don't know is that Carlisto is fixing up the place, increasing room compacity and the size of bar to handle the expected influx of Sphere employees, constructiond crews and other tradesman that will fill that motel for a year or so. I hear they are putting another floor on the exsisting building.
Call Carlisto whatever you want. If only he owned Shopper's Square. Of the two buildings in that Main St. area, which one needs the money more?

LMAO !!! Putting another floor on! LOL! What a horse! Listen up..."putting another floor on" requires aLOT of parking space, mandated for such an endeavor. Do you really see that happening? C'mon, dream! Do you see that kind of space? Permits to change your motel to HOTEL status must be applied for, and I don't see THAT happening either. Renovations? Be glad for it. That building is almost in the middle of your city. Be glad renovations might be made to it. That is THEIR business. Stop knocking it. You enjoy going their for parties? New Years? Are you aware of the nice things Mr. Carlisto does for people? Have a little civic pride for gosh sakes. Be glad for it !

I didn't mean the above post to be derogatory to ETP. Sorry, don't mean to offend you. My statement should agree with you.

Perhaps instead of negative comments about how they got the money and what they will do with it. We should be asking them what they did to get it so we can get more money for other business in our city.

How about some proactive behavior so more businesses can benefit.

The man pretty much controls every government dime spent on construction in the City. He pretty much decides who gets the contracts to build with that money (and WHO would that be? What a surprise!). And yet again he is first to get new government money. Yes, I'd say he is very successful. At ... something.

Let's quit the trash talkin. Just remeber who most of us work for. Some "rich guy" that owns the company. I hope my "rich guy" boss suceeds so that I continue to have a job. Let's not be so damn narrow minded.

Do I detect a note of jealousy here? Put your dam beer glasses down, and do something for yourselves if you want a piece of the action. Learn how to secure what's available! Start up your own dam construction contracting business with some serious customer base of your own, and maybe you can couple that with learning to apply for things, and not have it handed to you like the whining little shitheads that you are.

And stop putting legitimate business down.
