This is just another way to take control of more of the banking system. As banks fail, their assets are assumed by other banks in the vast majority of cases. The more bank assests that are in control of fewer hands enables to government to more easily consolidate financial power. The government has no Constitutional mandate to be involved in banking at all. Just as the federal government has now taken over ALL student loans ( http://townhall.com/blog/g/032521cc-60f3-4e48... ), they will take over all banking as soon as they are able to do so.

The U.S gov`t should cut a one-time check of $5,000 to every fulltime working american. The $8,000 1st time homebuyer & $4,500 cash for clunker handout did nothing but put americans deeper into debt.We need a stimulas which gives workin americans a choice how to spend the money.Alot of the $5,000 would end up deposited into savings or checking accts which would also help out smaller banks balance sheets.
