We have a spending problem, not a problem with too little taxes. Pass the spending cuts, a cap on spending, and introduce a balanced budget amendment (with Harry Reid's committment to bring it to a vote) and the deal is done.
Should congress want to reform the tax system, do it. How about a flat tax? But that is a discussion for another day. An important discussion.
BTW, lets start calling Obama's tax the rich what it is, soak the upper middle class. Make everyone pay at least 5% and call no one rich until their income exceeds $400K in compensation.
Why no outrage that GE, who owns NBC and is a friend of Obama pays no taxes?

the deal will be made.....good or bad doesn't matter...
The only problem facing the Dems, repubs and o-bomb-a is how to save face and spin the deal to their voters....
