They want everyone to sit together so it isn't so apparent that their side got a LOT smaller with the last election.
Who do they thinke they're fooling? The voters did that for good reason!

So, instead of watching only one half of the assembly stand and applaud in unison, we shall see people standing and applauding on both sides of the aisle. Is this some sort of subliminal message for us "dumb" Americans to actually think the President has more support than he really does?
I'm not buying that this is all for a show of unity to the American people. Rather I believe that this is being used to make it only appear that there is unity, which we all know simply is not true.
So why the fake out? Who benefits? Perhaps Poster #1 has it right, as a way to make it appear that the the President's supporters got larger rather than smaller.
