Which 19 Democrats opposed extending the PATRIOT Act in 2005 but then supported it in 2011?
Over the past few days, I've been looking at old roll call votes on security state issues in order to discern which members of Congress have been resolute defenders of civil liberties, which have been resolute opponents, and which have been partisans or opportunists.

I'm still puzzled at the Democrats that signed off on the Patriot Act the first time through. It was obvious what would happen even back then.
Since the sheeple of America need instant gratification including 'sweeping' measures to keep THEM safe(which is quite selfish actually) no one complained. Nor did anyone want to oppose a law called THE PATRIOT Act. It was named that for reason-to make opposition less likely. Show you how spineless most DemocRATs and RepubliCANTs are.
But with a major CONservative administration in power the sheeple followed their percieved shepard.
