Thx.
Well, you did post one...but I notice you chose the apologist version instead of the one I linked to. The heading:

Fla. congressman denies breaking any laws

does serve your purpose more than:

CONGRESSMAN'S $121,000 PAYOFF TO ALLEGED MISTRESS

TIM MAHONEY ELECTED TO REMOVE 'ETHICAL CLOUD' OF HIS DISGRACED PREDECESSOR, MARK FOLEY

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Politics/story...

with the recording of Mahoney "angrily firing his alleged mistress and staffer, Patricia Allen, after she reportedly broke up with him."

----------

It allows you to give the APPEARANCE of being fair and even handed, while minimizing the negative impact of a frank headline.

Who cares? Democrats are sleazy people since the invention of Mr. Peanut (Jimmy Carter). This behavior is consistent with the broad ethics of absolute power.

"He/she didn't break any laws."

The common excuse/explanation served up by self-serving, immoral, rules breaking, unconscionable politicians.

Palin's people used it as her defense in the Troopergate scandal. Clinton's people used it during the Monica Lewinsky debacle. Reagan's people used it during the Iran Contragate scandal. Now this scumbag is trying to play a card from the same deck.

Is there an honest politician in the house?!?!

Why do we care what these idiots do in their personal life? Unless the hush money was taxpayer dollars then his situation is something he needs to take up with his wife.

Bush/Cheney and the Republican Party have broken more laws and told so many lies in the last eight years it makes this story trivial.
