Damn brother! I told you I did, though not in Nam. I was a little young for that. I did my time in the ME. 5 deployments from Desert Storm, to this latest little fun zone we have in Iraq.

Actually Vietnam was the only war we won on the battlefield and lost on the streets of America.

Try and name one battle we lost. Before Tet 1968 we controlled less than 65% of South Vietnam. After Tet of 1968 we controlled nearly 75% of South Vietnam and by August 1969 we had shut down the Ho chi min trail and controlled 100% of South Vietnam. In September we started packing out trash and headed home. I rotated back in March 1970 and we were half a Marine division left in country. My Commanding General O.R. Simpson rotated back with me. By June 1971 the last American forces had been pulled out of Vietnam. In December 1972 Nixon ordered the renewed bombing of the North along with the mining of the harbors in the North. This action forced the North to accept our terms of surrender only Nixon called them the terms of the peace treaty in January 1973. In April 1973 we exchanged Prisoners of War and we came home heroes every last one of us. Only in the fantasy produced by the American press did we loose the war and that was only because they had been claiming it for so long. They couldn't be seen as liars now could they? Of course not. Walter Cronkite the most trusted broadcaster a liar. Could not allow that to happen so according to the American new agencies we lost a war we actually had won.

Only gullible people have bought into the idea that we lost that war. Then again only gullible people voted for Barry Soetoro AKA Barrack Hussein Obama without even bothering to ask if he is even an American citizen or a citizen of Indonesia.

Americans benefited from superior fire power and NOT from fighting spirits or skills. If given equal fire power on both side, I very much doubt that American would win 100% of the battle. More like about 20% at the most.

During VN War, even with superior Airpower, American lost thousands of assorted airplanes in VN. You can check it with your fingertips:
"www.Aircraft losses of Vietnam war_wikipedia.."
"Try and name one battle we lost"....
If you don't FIGHT how can you lose then? The fact tells the story of VN battles leading to Paris Agreement 27Jan,1973. And to the American friend who said US shut down Hochiminh Trails then just tell people that how did NVA Tanks come to Saigon City on April, 30th, 1975? By airplanes or NVA Tanks have wings? Aahaha!
About Hochiminh Trails, not dirt trails during your Hunting trips in North America. It was a whole network, starting from Shianookeville Port, Cambodia, running through Cambodia to Laos, and to North VN at "Mugia Pass". Along it's routes there were THOUSANDs branches leading to South VN, also parallel branches which one of them named "TruongSon Dong" in Vn territory. And right at "MuGia Pass", located at Central North of VN, first warplanes of US did shot down.
Aahaha! History had facts, and facts don't have lies like US leaders did during VN war.

May 11, 1969 2 companies of Marines a total of 360 Marines were attacked by an enemy force of 5,000 men.

Over the 3 day battle the Marines were out gunned, out maned and totally cut off. Every time a supply choper would try to resupply the Marines the enemy would shoot them down with small arms and rockets.

On the very last day of the battle I stood soaked in blood and human tissue as I watched the sun rise. I had run out of ammo hours earlier and was left with nothing but my helmet and my entrenching tool (small shovel) to fight with.

We had killed 4,998 of the enemy during the 3 day battle while I was only one of 45 Marines left standing after the battle was over.

I find it funny how you equate aircraft lost to battles lost. Since most of our aircraft loses were in support of ground combat troops and were shot down by small arms or rockets.

You are too funny. How well you have distorted the truth.

We packed our bags and we came home in 1971. There were NO MORE American combat troops left in South Vietnam. Saigon fell after we had already forced the North to the so called peace table and forced them to sign our terms of surrender. We had won the war and there was no more need for us to stick around.

The South was more that capable to defending themselves if we had continued our material support. However the Democrats in OUR Congress cut off all aid and support for South Vietnam. In April 1975 after the South had used up all of its ammo and was left with NOTHING with which to defend themselves the North illegally invaded the South AGAIN by driving their tanks across the DMZ straight to Saigon.

Like I said we actually won the war in Vietnam, we packed our trash and we came home. It was the cowards in Washington who betrayed not only the Vietnamese people but the Congressional Democrats betrayed those of us who fought and won that war, our families and especially those of us who died and their families. Over 53,000 Americans lost their lives to pay for the Freedom of the South Vietnamese people and the Congressional Democrats spit on their graves and right in the faces of those of us who they forced to fight their war for them. Kennedy started it, Johnson intensified it and Nixon ended it.

Yes this individual has earned his award as did those of us who fought that war.

It is funny. This was NOT a war over land or over oil or any other precious material. This was a war for FREEDOM. The Rights of a peoples to enjoy the same FREEDOMS we as Americans enjoy. Yet you and other claim fighting for a person's Individual RIGHTS and FREEDOMS is a very bad and dishonorable thing.

No America. The American combat soldiers and Marines didn't loose the War in Vietnam. You did the moment you lost sight of exactly what we were fighting for and over 3 million innocent men, women and small children paid for it with their lives.

In any conflict, failure is a combination of battlefields and political fronts. And the bottom line is your mission was not accomplished. If you define USA only lost the war on treets of USA then ONE can reason Japanese only lost the war on the streets of Ikonawa and Nagasaki, only at the different degrees. In the VN war, you must screw up NVA tanks crossing DMZ(1972) with the battefiels involved NVA Tanks in the South(AnLoc, not far from Saigon) and Lao Highway 9 Operation(1970). During 1972 crossing DMZ, NVA Tanks involved mostly were light-armor floatable Russian made PT76, not Heavy-attack tanks like those ones crashing through SVN prez Palace.Try this ADDRESS to see yourself pictures of NVA Tanks in Laos, Cambodia and South VN during the VN war, you can see more pages with images by increasing the last TWO DECIMAL NUMBERS:
"http://www.Quansuvn.net/index.php... ;
Those heavy-attack battle tanks actually travelled down Hochiminh Trails and into the SVN. Sometimes for secret operation in a certain attack, they were dismantled and travelled on THE SHOULDERS of ViXis men and women before re-assembled then ready-for-battles!
As special forces of USA, you guys should know MORE about war strategies of Vietnamese!
Aahahha!
BTW, SVN didn't use up their weaponries, infact, there were a lot of untouch in stocks that NVA used them widely during 1979 invasion of Cambodia and North Border Front with Chingchong Chinamen. There are also a lot shipping oversea secretly to help those friends so-called revolution Armforces with their fightings for their own independence.
Aahahha!

You are such a fool!

What is the point of a battle? Huh DUMMY?

It is another step to winning the war, it does not matter if we won 100% of the battles, ya fool we lost the war.

Its like a race car driver that led the race for 99 laps and was passed on lap 100. So what, we lost, you just lack the guts to admit it.

Out strategy was flawed from the git go, we were out manuvered and out classed on every turn.

We never had a chance, our forces were inferior in numbers and spirit. The only edge we had was TECH and that was not enough.

Our soldiers followed their leaders into a loser, a war that should have never happened to begin with.

Guess what....we are going to lose again..hide and watch
