Congresswoman Bordallo along with Senator Antonio Reyes Unpingco have worked diligently with Veterans and Veteran organizations on Guam to allow for a change in the processing and receipt of Compensation and Health services. Though much needs to be done, I rarely see coverage about their continued efforts to help our Veterans in Guam and extend such assistance to our Veterans in the CNMI. They were very supportive in letting Project Guiding Light Veterans Advocacy Group, Guam Chapter play an important role in identifying problem areas and recommending solutions to the problem. Many have been implemented but more needs to be done, especially by the executive element in Guam under the Interim Administrator, Guam Veterans Affairs Office. The VA must recognize that world class service extended to other veterans elsewhere must apply to Guam and CNMI Veterans or the disparity will continue to go on! Mr. Gofigan and his staff deserve our appreciation for making positive changes so far! Without Congresswoman Bordallo addressing our problems in D.C., none of the positive changes so far would have resulted. If bi-partisan success is not considered possible, look at what's happened as the result of Guam lawmakers, our Honorable Delegate and the Executive Dept working together to advance issues for Veteran and military programs on Guam!

Hey!my goodnest how about turning your face the other way, take a good look who else doing so much compassionate help to Guam Veterans. Long before those high political figures come into the picture thinking about veterans. Cindy Gogo was there with her heart and soul giving Guam Veterans help and assisting them with their VA Benefits.
You guys turn your head look toward Asan where the new local Dept. of Veterans Affairs located now. Either you find her there or she is somewhere else helping veterans families at time of need, she is there attending rosary,oh. I don't see any of those who claim to be helping Guam Veterans in any of these function.
I have seen many who are appointed by Governors to head the local Dept. of Veterans Affairs. These are appointed who claim to retired with 20 years in the US Military. Take survey and know who is actully have all the knowledge and the Know How.To all Governor of Guam to be, put you money where your mouth. Don't look around you who is following you during your campaign. Reward those who will really make your name stand up.
To all Guam Veterans who in one way or other, say thanks to Cindy Gogo for all the help she has given to you all. God look down to this compassionate lady and reward her with your blessing.

Fellow Chamorros, be aware that our Congresswoman, Madeline Bordallo doesn't support ALL Veterans programs proposed by the US House of Congress. We need a voice in our government system that will ensure fair compensations are given to ALL service members that has sacrifice thier lives to keep this country free from ALL threats. Yes, we ALL serve and we need someone who will stand behind us and defend ALL benefits proposed by US Congress to our Chamorros. Please look into the US Congress web Site and see what our congresswoman is supporting and not supporting. We did our jobs fighting this war, now we should demand our political leaders to support our needs based on the injuries and disabilities we suffer during this crises. We are humans too and we have rights. The governments motto is to Delay, Deny, or Let the Veterans Die before awarding such compensatios. Look at WWW.vawatchdog.com . My e-mail is dsalas10@comcast.net. I, also send a correspodence to our congresswoman about her actions and till this day my fellow veterans she hasn't response. Thats how much she really cares about us. WE ARE THE VETERANS OF GUAM. FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS AND BENEFITS. PLEEEEEEASE!!!!

Is there any headway on the Guam/Parkinson's Disease connection for servicemen who were stationed there during WWII and for the bereft widows of those who contracted it?
