You don't really think Napolitano would actually do her job. The demonstrators could have protested ICE headquarters with complete impunity. She might even invite them in for tea.

It was about time to get immigration reform in this country. I don't agree with all those comments full of prejudice. I believe the immigrants are people who helped build this country. They should have now the rights to be able to be part of this country and pay their taxes as any other American citizen. Have any of you people submitted yourselves to do the same kind of work that they do? I don't think do. So all of you should think about all the benefits that the immigrants brought to this country and how they are or were part of it before being so selfish. Wake up and respect that something has to be done about the issue.

It is way, WAY, beyond time that someone (numbersusa perhaps) organized an anti illegal demonstration/march.

Pissing and moaning in here and sending faxes is not working well enough.

Why should we have to submit ourselves to that kind of work? The argument that illegals are only here as 'hired help' is ridiculous, they get paid slave wages and you're ok with that, aren't you? tell the truth, do you have an illegal working as a maid/nanny and another as a landscaper? the only people who defend the illegal alien workforce are those who personally benefit from subpar wages.

Colorado Wants Special Tuition Class For Illegal Aliens

ViewDiscussion.Last Updated: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 12:17pm

Months after the Colorado Legislature rejected a measure to grant illegal immigrants discounted tuition at public colleges and universities, Democrats continue working on a soon-to-be-introduced bill to make it happen.

In April Colorado lawmakers killed—for the fourth time—a proposal that would have allowed illegal aliens to pay lower in-state tuition at the state’s 30 public colleges and universities. It was a contentious plan that was debated on the Senate floor for more than three hours before lawmakers, including several Democrats, finally defeated it.

This week a group of Colorado Democrats reveal they’ve been ardently working behind the scenes to tweak the defeated law so that it passes. Their plan centers on the creation of a special tuition category for illegal immigrants that attempts to disguise the taxpayer-financed perk granted to the state’s legal residents.

Since illegal immigrants don’t qualify for the subsidy given to the children of parents who pay state taxes, tens of millions of dollars will be allocated for the new illegal alien tuition class. That way, the law’s sponsors say, illegal immigrants don’t have to pay the much higher out-of-state fees. Either way it’s presented, the money comes from U.S. taxpayers.

One of the law’s sponsors, Senator Paula Sandoval, says the third tuition rate is a compromise that will avoid the pitfalls of four previous failed attempts at passing legislation. The House sponsor, Denver Representative Joe Miklosi, says the measure will “empower” the state’s undocumented high school graduates.

Ten states—including California, Texas, Utah, Kansas, Washington and New York—have laws granting illegal immigrants discounted college tuition and a few—Georgia, Oklahoma and Arizona—have recently created policies banning the perk. The practice was successfully challenged by a group of out-of-state students in California who argued that the state’s college system violated the law by charging them higher tuition and fees than undocumented immigrants. A California appellate court ruled in favor of the American students and the case is pending before the state Supreme Court.

How sad. The enemy marches on Washington and no one arrests them.

Once again foreign nationals tell Americans how to run our country. LOL! What hubris they have, that they should assume they even have the right to demand anything at all in a foreign country. If they would go back to their own countries and demand change there, perhaps they would find their homelands worth living in.

Americans like their country and have the right to change it or leave it alone. Foreign nationals in the USA legally have very limited rights. Illegal aliens have no rights whatsoever, and never will. That's all that matters, and that's just the way it is.

This is all planned and funded by subversive globalist Socialists who want a North American Union. They think if they stir up some sympathy for illegals from the American public, we will bend over for their oppression and domination and the taking away of our Constitution and our rights.

Nope. We'll still fight them for our freedom and our country. Illegals are Socialist tools and they better go home and get out of the way, because if you're not for a sovereign America and our Constitution, you're the enemy of the USA.
