In 1960 twice as many Americans worked in manufacturing as in government. Today 22 million work in government and 11 million in manufacturing.
The compensation level of public-sector federal employees is twice the average of the private sector, while that of public-sector state workers are half again as high.
Today the government sector is at a peacetime record 37% of GDP:

It wouldn't be so bad if we paid FOUR times as much to get jobs done using Public Employees if they didn't do such a half baked job when they did work. LB voters are Morons to put up with union grade work as all their families deserve. Pitiful. City Hall and their union buddies should be ashamed to look any one else in the eyes after what they have done to Long Beach.
