Yep, that's all we need right now. Not that Jerry Springer and Maury really DO have a pulse on the American Heartbeat (refer to latest stats regarding American births/employment/etc.)
Strangely, a part of me would welcome this. Would help with a purge.

although it's long overdue, the american people are near ready to revolt, perhaps assassinate some of their corporate, banking, and govt.oppressors. placating the people now would save the lives of the corporate criminals. so I don'tthink it's agreat idea.i want to see blood in the streets of our corporate , banking and gov.t.scum masters.

I guess the federal government doesn't make lots of money from cannabis like it does from cocaine and heroin.

The prisons are going to go out of business and have to let all these criminals out on the streets and they will rape your doggies and steal your wives.

It will get better for you though. By the time your'e 30 you will move on up into your parent's basement and have a bathroom of your own.

Sounds right, the lazy americans have stood by and watch how big bankstas fraud billions then get fined a hundred or so million by the judge instead of siezing there assets and giving it back to the people not a bad profit when you look at it

@DW Washburn there is no reason to judge a person for only one fu**in paragraph he wrote. As if you have all of the insight in the world. What if the people are ready to revolt? What if his ideas have some real bearing. You couldn't comment on that because....maybe you couldn't wrap your brain around it. You are the total judge there, judging people by one post. You gonna judge me too asshole?

Why do you think it is illegal? I'm really trying to understand the other side here because its not making any sense to me.

I kind of quit reading this shortly after. I had a hard time keeping up with what you were talking about. Something to do with aliens and bucktooth beavers? Anyhow, to touch on your "theory" just a bit. Legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes effects percentage of vehicle accidents as much as someone being prescribed a xanax or valium. Alcohol is legal for ANYONE to purchase and causes devastating accidents EVERY DAY. That is all I really care to explain to you.

but the 207 million is in U. S. DOLLARS, DID YOU NOTICE ALL THE $100 BILLS.?.. they werent pesos.....According to a November 2009 Standard & Poor's industry report, the tobacco and alcohol industries generated $263 billion combined in 2008. Alcohol represented $188 billion of the total, with $99 billion in beer,$61 billion in spirits and $27 billion in wine. Tobacco generated $75 billion, including $71 billion in cigarette sales.....

Tobacco and alcohol sales generate over $17 billion in federal tax revenue. States tax tobacco and alcohol and benefit as well. Given the current economic environment and the deficits states are facing, it is understandable why legalization is a topic of discussion. Assuming comparable taxes to tobacco of 40-50%(excise and sales tax), a $40 billion marijuana market would yield $16-20 billion in taxes.....http://www.cnbc.com/ id/36179677..........i would bet that ZERO would be spent on societys needs.. most will go for GOVERNMENT PENSIONS AND OTHER BENEFITS .any spent on society will be BASED ON "MEANS TESTING". which means you have nothing ,no ira 401,,do nothing , save nothing ,know nothing.. but want everything.... until uncle starts blowing more bubbles
