Yup. That was three trillion to save the world from Iraq's WMDs and indigenous al Qaeda. For a follow up, Bush handed out 1.2 trillion more to save the financial world from a melt down a few months before packing up for Crawford. Kinda maikes 60 billion look like chump change.

Have a awesome military, and not mettle in the worlds business making enemies. When fighting wars fight them to win fast then get out and go home let them rebuild their own mess.Thats a real homeland security plan.Lessons learned from past dictators installed by the likes of rummy rumsfeld and company.

How can it be "wasted" when it's lining some important persons' pockets?

You must stop torturing war profiteers so.

Cheney and Haliburton had all the contracts.Even the elite mercenary killers who had better equipment and arms than our young soldiers.Thier vehicles were armored when our troops had to go out in unarmored vehicles and be slaughtered by IUD's. Ask a Vet. who was there.

That must be why the kenyan extended their contracts. As did Bush and Clinton.

Who else was qualified? Who else bid?

Hey cretin, it's the constapo and talibangelicals who were so gung ho on pumping that illegal Irquagmire to start with, and who are still so gung ho on irresponsible oil companies pumping in slipshod ways in the Gulf and elsewhere.

Code Pink didn't start Iraq. We know who did. We know who profited from it, too.

I look at old man Cheney now and that guy looks like he's on his last leg. Can't even talk without breathing heavy.
Let's hope that Haliburton, like Cheney, will just shrivel up and blow away and become a very bad, distant memory.

Depending on whose figures you use,$60 billion in waste doesn't seem that high.

If it's out of a $trillion, it's 6%.

$2 trillion? It's 3%.

How does that waste compare to other government programs?
TARP?
ARRA?
Obamacare?
Fed bureaucracy in general?

It will be amusing to watch critics try to reduce the cost of the wars to make the percent waste more dramatic, while still trying to inflate the costs to (again) be more dramatic.

Wasn't it KBR that was constructing showers for the troops
to clean off in and were so poorly put together that some
troops were being electrocuted in them? The troops called them
"electrocution booths."

Thanks KBR and Dick Cheney.

Wasted ? Not true. War is good business and the U.S. Treasury is bottomless.
