Flight training was but a small part of the terrorists training
The terrorists spent a lifetime learning how to gladly die
Training camps in Middle East deserts are where terrorists learn how to make IED's
That's where they learn to use small arms
That's where they learn guerilla tactics
That's where they learn to kill
And they weren't in Iraq.

"They attacked us" refers to islamofascists
"Sadam violated UN sanctions" refers to - Sadam
The two were loosely related, but are not one and the same
EXACTLY. They aren't. But we didn't overthrow islamofascits. We overthrew a country full of people who never did nor posed a threat to us. Still waiting for you to name one person in Iraq who did anything to threaten us.

People die in war
That's an inescapable fact
How about the first 3000 that you didn't count?
The people in the WTC?
People only die when you make war on them. That requires a reason. That first 3000 at the WTC had NOTHING to do with Iraq. I know you live in a little world where all brown people or all Muslims are 'evil'.

Here's the 'evil' Iraqi people who had nothing to do with it:

What did those 4855 American Sons and Daughters die for in Iraq? You forgot to answer.

If Iraq was sponsoring terrorist training and channeling money and weapons to terrorists, then they certainly ARE affiliated. And the terrorists ARE islamofascists

islamofascism is an integral part of every muslim country
Meaning, because Iraq sponsored terrorism, Iraq was part of it

Of course, you're still dissembling
Iraq was NOT invaded over WTC, but for repeated violations of UN sanctions

A little gratuitous gore?
In war, people get hurt and die
Often times the innocent get caught up, but then again, their own leaders caused the harm
Frisbee wrote:

Repeated UN sanction violations
Like obstructing weapons inspectors
Distorting the "Oil for Food" program to "Oil for Weapons"
Illegal imports
etc

How does Obama's overspending even compare?
The total cost of both wars, over ten years is still less than Obama's ANNUAL oversspending

10 years vs EVERY year

Get a life

Yes, of course. Brown people hijacked the planes and there are brown people in Iraq. That's quite the affiliation. I can't believe there are people still trying to connect Iraq to 9/11. Mouth-breathers are the easiest to spoon feed.
cjrian wrote:

That's the version of the story they came up with after they couldn't make a 9/11 connection stick. How was it that the violation of those sanctions harmed us?

It's what you support spending our money on rather than helping Americans. War requires an enemy that has or can actually harm you.

Well that's worth it, eh? Jimmy's dead because weapon's inspectors got kicked out.

If you don't like deficits, be sure to tell your representatives not to extend tax breaks for the rich.

Hope the re-election doesn't sting too much.

As if Al-qaida is the ONLY islamofascist organization in the world?
There are dozens of others, formal and informal, that would dearly love to do us harm.

Oooooooohhhhhh!

The dreaded RACE card
And denigration, to boot!

Stuff it!
Back in the deck
It's a Joker, and valueless

The sanction violations were Sadam's way of giving us the finger.
From the time the sanctions were first put in place, he blatantly violated them

1 or 2 gallons of VX is enough to wipe out any large city. Need we wait for that to occur? Sadam admitted to having tons of VX.
Frisbee wrote:

Nope, because of repeated violations of UN sanctions and agreements that Sadam entered into after Gulf I. Sadam was a dangerouys man, with dangerous weapons, and completely untrustworthy.

Taxing "the rich" more won't come even remotely close to closing the deficit. A 100% tax on all revenue that "the rich" earn, would result in roughly $1.2 Trillion - still not enough to pay the deficit. But what person of means would sit still for that? The next year, revenues would drop to zero.

If higher taxation really worked, then why have revenues remained, since WWII, in the 18 - 20% range, REGARDLESS of marginal rates. Higher rates quash the incentive to earn more, reducing their effectiveness. In 1946, when rates ranged from 25% to 94%, revenues were 17.7% of GDP. In 1988, when rates ranged from 15% to 28%, revenues were 18.2% of GDP. Revenues since 1945 have only exceeded 20% TWICE, so how does anyone think that the government can perpetually spend 23, 24, or 25% of GDP. That defies all logic!
