Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act "based on racism" and rooted in fears of a black president.

I am pretty darn happy with the way things are going. The recession is close to being over.
Health Care/Insurance reform has progressed.
All of those silly fears expressed by the far right have been proven groundless...
Now is the time to address the darkest areas of the national psyche.

Carter is getting senile if he seriously believes that if someone doesn't follow in the presidents footsteps, obviously it is because of his race. I find it disturbing to see this more and more. What ever happened to being allowed to have opposing points of view? Now, the race card is one of those things in the Dems arsenal when something doesn't go their way, and they use it as often as they can. It sure quiets the other side without so much as a debate on the real issue, like how illegals WILL be getting free health care anyway, instead the race card gets played and the discussion is all of a sudden over.

The recession is abating naturally, but wait until inflation kicks in from all this spending- why, just like it did for Jimmy Carter!

Healthcare hasn't gone anywhere, even though Congress has been ignoring everything else in it's single-minded pursuit of it's control over citizens who agree and disagree, and it isn't likely to. Even if passed, nothing happens until well into 2013- AFTER elections- think O planned it that way for damage control?

The fears of the right have been proved anything but groundless- this thread is proof of that.
