5 All you people care about is yourself. Illegals need healthcare too. Everybody needs healthcare. Just because they are called "illegals" does not mean they're not human. |

1 The second thing everyone should be very concerned with is the cost. Estimated at $894 Billion over ten years! That is a huge number, but not as huge as what it will really cost, try $2,682 Billion or $2.682 TRILLION DOLLARS! Anytime our government estimates a cost on anything you always have to multiply that estimate by at least 3 to calculate the real cost! Now, all of you liberal Obama loving Dems out there that are itching to "Judge it" this post( clueless or nuts ) prove my last statement wrong before you do. Come on, when has our government ever estimated the real end cost of any huge project, program, defense system or entitlement anywhere close to the original estimate. You can use either party's pet spends, have either of them ever come close? NO THEY HAVEN'T! They always; OVER PROMISE, UNDER DELIVER AND DO IT AT THRICE THR PRICE! Deficit Nutral: No Way in Hell |

1 Why do you think Canadians are coming to the USA for their operations and stuff, because it is rationed in their country. Here it is, if you dare to read it: http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.... . |

2 Title I: Immediate Reforms - "shall Establish a temporary national High Risk pool... to PROVIDE health benefits to eligible individuals during the period beginning Jan. 1, 2010...ending on the date on which the Health Insurance Exchange is established. 1- Is this "Free" Health Care aka. Tax Payer funded? Is pelosi crazy? 2- What insurance policy are we the Tax Payer paying FOR under this plan? 3- Cost! Why isn't there be a set dollar reimbursement or paid amount per person? This is open ended and is inviting abuse. 4- Why isn't the duration fixed instead of tied to creation of another gov agency that could be delayed or name changed or any other trick to give away more tax payer money with no one really understanding what happened? http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.... 2 NO! There isn't a single government agency or division that runs efficiently; do we really want an organization that developed the U.S. Tax Code handling something as complex as health care? "Free" health care isn't really free since we must pay for it with taxes; expenses for health care would have to be paid for with higher taxes or spending cuts in other areas such as defense, education, etc. Profit motives, competition, and individual ingenuity have always led to greater cost control and effectiveness. Government-controlled health care would lead to a decrease in patient flexibility. Patients aren't likely to curb their drug costs and doctor visits if health care is free; thus, total costs will be several times what they are now. Just because Americans are uninsured doesn't mean they can't receive health care; nonprofits and government-run hospitals provide services to those who don't have insurance, and it is illegal to refuse emergency medical service because of a lack of insurance. Government-mandated procedures will likely reduce doctor flexibility and lead to poor patient care. Healthy people who take care of themselves will have to pay for the burden of those who smoke, are obese, etc. A long, painful transition will have to take place involving lost insurance industry jobs, business closures, and new patient record creation. Loss of private practice options and possible reduced pay may dissuade many would-be doctors from pursuing the profession. Malpractice lawsuit costs, which are already sky-high, could further explode since universal care may expose the government to legal liability, and the possibility to sue someone with deep pockets usually invites more lawsuits. Government is more likely to pass additional restrictions or increase taxes on smoking, fast food, etc., leading to a further loss of personal freedoms. Patient confidentiality is likely to be compromised since centralized health information will likely be maintained by the government. Health care equipment, drugs, and services may end up being rationed by the government. In other words, politics, lifestyle of patients, and philosophical differences of those in power, could determine who gets what. Patients may be subjected to extremely long waits for treatment. Like social security, any government benefit eventually is taken as a "right" by the public, meaning that it's politically near impossible to remove or curtail it later on when costs get out of control. Do you really want health care that even the Congress and Senate won't have for even their own families? The waste and fraud in Medicare, Medicaid and other programs has not been addressed, so how can the politicians run another health care system? http://www.balancedpolitics.org/universal_hea... |

4 SOLD!!! Take it home, get acquainted with it, learn to love it. Come Thanksgiving, we'll give thanks to Almighty God that it's the law of the land! Unless obstinate teabaggers and their Republican reps throw one of their town hall hissy fits; than we'll celebrate it's birth on Christmas, along with the usual Birthday Boy... |

1 Hey, I'll cover illegals or anybody I can with any condition... But let me do it through choice and charity, not by government theft from my pocket. If I choose not to cover myself, that's on me! Don't force me to buy into programs that I don't want! The people of this country are soon going to have to make a real choice. Do you want the rights and freedoms of the Constitution? Or do we choose to slowly wrap ourselves in the chains of Tyranny? It's time to choose people. Freedom and individuality or dictatorship and totalitarianism? "A government large enough to give you everything you need is large enough to take everything you have." - Thomas Jefferson "To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical." - Thomas Jefferson God bless this great country! |

1 And who is going to pay for this, you dumb ass? I assume you make under the bridge so there is no money out of your pocket. Typical liberal. Take it out of my pocket to put it into yours. I get tired of this crap. Work for a living, like I do, then pay for your friends on welfare. |

2 Fine Poop, I'll probably have to let a employee go because of this legislation, maybe two. You should have your own business, and see what it is like to let a employee go because you can not afford them anymore. The heartache of their family, the loss of a friend. But you will never know that, because you have never been a employer, like I am. You are a sorry ass of a person hiding behind a mask on a internet board. Die in hell for all I care, you obviously don't. |

2 I don't think we need them in complete charge of our health care system. What we need is insurance reform that is common-sense, economically feasible, and understandable to the average decently educated American. Is that so much to ask? |

2 Let's see if I can 'splain it to you friend. We're going to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, signed by a president that also hasn't read it, and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's nearly broke. How's that? |
