Isn't a Congressman from San Diego, Cunningham, in prison right now for something similar? Oh, that's right, he's a Republican. There are two sets of rules.

Let's not rush to judgement. Even if he is found guilty, he'll have to be dragged out - kicking and screaming. And let's not forget the ever-lovely RACE CARD that will be played. Charlie, it was nice while it lasted. Probably thought he's untouchable.........NOVEMBER is coming !!!!!

Is this some form of Double Standard? These Democrats are Raising OUR taxes, and not paying their own taxes. If they give this Tax Dodging weasel a break, and let him off easy, That 'gro runnin the White House is good as GONE. This story is as pathetic as Celebrity Justice for Brittany, Paris and Lindsay.

" Demo worried that trying Rangel for ethics violations during an election year could cast a negative light on the party "etc" "

So House Investigator, think holding an Elected official accountable to the same laws that govern the rest of us "a negative light on the party" HOW!!! is showing the public there are consequences for even long standing congressman when they commit crimes that bring their ethics into guestion. How is this a bad thing pray tell, It might convince some Repubs. that Demo aren't all socialist, treehugging, lairs, cheats, adulters, check bouncing, tax dodging pond scum.

LOL, when he stepped down from his chairmanship, Pelosi said he could have it back when this was over. Now its just a matter of time to see how she manages the backroom deal to get things dropped. but then, he's 80, is he really that effective?
The main thing about Demorats is that they dont bother hiding their corruption, they have been at it so long that they dont know right from wrong or the fact that some things are supposed to covered up. I cant wait for Big O to step in and declare that they should not have a trial in deference to his 40 years of service. He went from " fair trial" to "plea bargain' pretty quickly!

Rangel is a prime example about what is wrong with someone who has been in congress too long. Rangel is arrogant and firmly believes he is above the law.

What is sad, his ignorant constituents will vote him back in during the next election.
