Steele was flat out wrong with his statements on the Bill Bennett show. Romney has always been pro-life personally. Keep in mind that Mitt was the Governor of one of the most blue states. He, like many, have seen difficulties in having government take away someone's free agency as in the case of the pro-life position. It's not that he thinks pro-choice is good......it's that pro-choice takes away their free agency.

Romney wasn't the nom solely because of the ignorance in the south. They chose to not even CONSIDER someone because of the candidate's religion. This led us to McCain, which led to Obama. Something we Americans look down upon is the sects of Islam failing to unite in the middle east, but this is what happened with Christianity in the south. Baptists surrounded Huck with support and threw religious rocks at Romney. They kicked Newt out and Reagan's tent fell.
I truly hope Steele has some plan to preclude this from happening again. Restructure primaries, do something,'cause I don't doubt the ignorance that plagues the south will always do so.
We can thank the IDIOT CONSERVATIVES IN THE SOUTH for Obama's election and all the abortions that are occuring because of it. We should ship a bunch of whiskey or moonshine down there in 2012 so they stay drunk and forget about voting. Or maybe give out free dental visits on voting day. They'll all be too busy to impose their stupidity on us again!

You're likely to see an increase in that as obama draws these wars to a close and boeing has to compete with the europeans for civilian contracts.
