To consider the judge as the ultimate arbiter of all constitutional questions is a very dangerous one, and one that would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.

Judge Sullivan ordered the information last week. He gave them 30 days to deliver the evidence he asked for. If they can't do it, he has the authority to order a Special Prosecutor, and he will. This is not some 3rd world country with a dictator. We have laws, and no one is above them. The perpetrators can drag this mess out, but sooner or later they will be held accountable. They can sit out their days in a Federal prison.

Agree.

This administration continues to mock U.S. law and spit on the Constitution.

They are a disgrace.

This is the beauty of our kind of Government. No one branch is more powerful then the other 2 branches. Nixon found out how powerful he was when the legislative branch gave him an ultimatum, resign or be impeached. Obama will never resign. He wants us to try to impeach him so he can play the victim. After what he did yesterday, spending 38 seconds on the downed Malaysian aircraft, and going into his comedian act even Democrats think he is a sociopath. He just looked ill.

Of course not. There's nothing to "prosecute." NO CRIME WAS COMMITTED.

The only malefactors here are the reTHUGliBaggers who are trying to pretend that their illegal attempts to gain non-taxable status were somehow legitimate, and that denying them was somehow a 'crime.'

Disgusting.

No one said "ultimate," troll, but the Justice Dept. is, amazingly, in charge of things like special prosecutors, investigations of crimes....you know, "justice."

"..the despotism of an oligarchy?"

There'll be no "information" or "prosecution" for doing their job. You can dismiss "federal prison" from your tiny, partisan mind as well. The judge was only asking them to explain lost e-mails.

Love how the laws apply when you want them to, too....:)

You ARE ill, obsessed with hatred for the Negro liberal Democrat President as you have been from the start. Another old white wretch from the suburbs who's lost the ability to do anything but hate.

Pathetic.

Yes, tapping on an icon is a lot easier than providing an answer. My guess is that, in alleging that Obama somehow violated the Constitution, you really don't know whatthefuck you are talking about. You should ask whatever right wing slob you are obeying to fill you in on some details.

Presidents do not run the IRS. They are an independent agency, which is bad enough.
