As Mr. Carville once famously said: Pennsylvania is comprised on Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh to the west, and ALABAMA in between!

Grandpa Joe stayed too long at the party, and his inability to make the appropriate response consistent with his much touted devotion to honor in the Sandusky affair has caused irreparable harm to his reputation. Sandusky's crimes will be more remembered because of the damage done to Paterno over that of the real victims... not that that should be the case, but that's the reality of sports & fame in America.

You might also add that both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia's welfare folks live very well off the labors and sweat of the rest of the state. If these two "urban" centers had any balls they'd declare themselves independent and refuse any and all state money. Sure. kind of strange then why both are under state oversight. Yep, bastions of progressiveness, Democratic voters, victims and dependents. If Pennsylvania had any sense they'd disown both cities.

That reinforces what I was thinking: Pittsburg and Philly are reliably Dem, the rest of the state is not and is therefore deserving of insult by the likes of Mr. Carville.......

Wonder how a Repub operative using stereotypical insults of an urban core area would go over?

Really? Conservative bigotry against persons of color or the poor is something you've never encountered? Faux News commentators are legendary for employing clever, thinly veiled attacks against these groups; it's known "coded" or "dog whistle" commentary. Carville may be one ugly sumbich, but he's twice as the man as your evil ilk!
