We must do what ever it takes to get these Democrats our of control in the Senate and House. These liberals are giving the country away to any country that will take it.

You gotta love these idiots in congress, they condem Joe for stating a true fact. But they think it is cool when a democrat does a show on the floor saying republicans just want Americans to die if they get sick. Pelosi is a retard. It's like Mass senator when they had a Rep. governor Kenedy pushed for a law to prevent the governor from appointing an interm replacement for dem Kerry. wihich they passed and there was a special vote. Now dem governor and they push to have the law changed so the gov could appoint Kenedys replacement and sure enough they had it both ways. What a bunchof hyprocites. If we disagree with democrat policies eg tea parties, town hall meetings we are racist, terrorists, and bullies. Funny thing the only one name calling was liberals, the only bullieing and threats were from liberals to the point of having Union and acorn people beat on conservatives at town hall meetings. |

“No, thank you...I'll choose!” Since: Sep 09
Upstate NY ISP: Brockport, NY |
I sent Mr. Wilson a thank you card. I had little interest in politics, prior to this incident.("Wilson's outburst came while Obama was denying that his health care plan would cover illegal immigrants...") Curiousity got the best of me and I wanted to understand what prompted his reaction.
I read many articles and found a Constitution lawyer that declared many items in the proposal were unconstitutional. So, I tried to obtain a copy of HR3200, but was denied access. I then, contacted Michael Connelly (the above named attorney) and was given a link to access this bill I sought. Because his argument was that the proposal was unconstitutional, I pulled up a copy of The Constitution and read it for the first time 30+ years. For the first time, I understood the weight of that first word "We". As a American, I knew that citizenship guaranteed me specific rights, but in that moment; I realized it also, requires a sense of responsibility and obligation. It is my responsibility to KNOW what is going on in the government that serves me.(I say 'serves' with a great deal of disbelief.) And it is my obligation to keep them informed of how best to do their job. I can't expect my state and federal officials to represent me, without sharing my views. I joined NumbersUSA, a free service; that allows me to send free faxes and grade cards to all my representatives. And, I have since, logged in weekly to stay on top of the issues. Thank you again, Joe Wilson!! My favorite quote regarding politics: "Expectations are pre-meditated resentments." |
