They were hoping it would go away before the public found out it was their bill they slipped in when they had a majority in both houses. Now that it is election time, the new HIGHER rates go in attacking every student with a loan........it's always under the table for liberals.

One thing is certain education costs to much. How come we never look into where the rising costs are coming from?
My guess is that a large part of it is premium retirement packages and a glut of "middle management" positions.

The interest rate on "subsidized" federal Stafford loans for undergraduates, which mostly helps low- and middle-income students pay for college, will double from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent, Per the Democrat Legislation, beginning July 1 if action isn’t taken to extend the current rate.

As a percent of the federal budget, student loans is just a tiny fraction, and look at the brouhaha over an adjustment of interest rates.

Extrapolate this problem a hundred (thousand? million? billion?) times and yet liberals still think they can run healthcare efficiently, fairly, and effectively?
