A bill that Republican leaders were promoting as the centerpiece of their job-creation agenda has instead turned into one of their biggest headaches, thanks largely to tea party conservatives who want to get the federal government out of transportation programs and hand them over to the states. The House and Senate are heading toward a showdown next ... Brilliant plan. Let's dump the whole interstate highway system while we're at it. That way I-10 will turn into a cactus filled dirt road when you cross into Texas, and I-75 beomes an overgrown 2 lane buggy track when you cross into Ohio, and I-70 becomes a boulder strewn trail when you cross into Colorado.

Frigging moronic Teabaggers!

Isn't that amazing?!? Our Interstate system, like the Autobahn, is a key part of the nation's defense. Highways were needed to quickly move defenses and resourses, in addition to the huge commercial benefits.

Could you imagine how expenses things would be if companies and their shipping trucks couldn't easily move products around the country.

If the Reich wing wants a third world country, get rid of federal support for our roads and highways.

This is what Boehner and non-t-bagging repubs get for pandering to the radical reich wing of the party.

Boehner knows how this is important. He also knows how this brings jobs to their constituency.

But now they are forced to pander to these idiots who think the Interstate Highway system is money wasted...even though they make use of it's benefits every day.

Any notice how stories like this never get the reich wing topix posters flocking to it?

If anything, they will respond to post with insults, instead of responding to the story itself.

They have no idea who to respond to a story that pits t-baggers vs non-t-baggers.
