Wearing a flag pin doesn't prove a darn thing

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

John McCain obviously doesn't love Jesus enough. You can tell just by looking at his lapel -- where there's no miniature replica of our Lord and Savior.

<quoted text>Here is what I witnessed on the news this morning. A poll was taken asking "Who do you trust more. McClellan or the Whitehouse? 95% said they trusted McClellan-5% said the Whitehouse.
The Bush Administration silenced anyone who disagreed with their agenda. Who knows what Scott objected to at the time these disastrous decisions were made. It's pretty clear he lost his job for SOME reason. All Scott is saying in the book is what we already know.
This is the most corrupt administration since the Reagan years.
Let the neocons scream 'schizophrenia' all they want about poor Scott. The American public is much wiser today and they know, sure, this guy is trying to make a buck. They aren't stupid for cripe sakes. They also know Scott was W's boy since the 90's in his Texas hey-days. To have done a complete 360 on someone he was once loyal to tells me he has something Bush and Dick never had.
A conscience.
Actually I have written (something like) over the course of the next two weeks I will come to my final opinion on the Scott. As far as the trust issue we could go back and forth on this with Obama, Hillary, Bill, Gore, W, W sr. etc. I mean look at the approval ratings 65.2 % disapprove of Bush, which is bad. However the Congress (lead by Dems) 75% disapprove, they would rather interview baseball players than fix anything. I mean what job could you tell your boss; well we really arenít going to do anything the rest of the year until after the election?

Silenced, nah just loyalty. He lost his job cause he wasnít good at it, even the press core made fun of him.

Show your proof of corruption, we can impeach him (joke). Huh, the American public is not wiser, please, that is just a sad fact, look at my punctuation.

A conscience, I would say very few people in politics have a conscience.

This idiot, Bush, made yet another speech telling the soldiers they are 'awesome' this week. The rest of us (with more than one brain cell) call them heros. He doesn't give a ratsass about them-never has, even when he was supposedly one of them, he didn't even have the decency to show up let alone the courage to go to war. You're damn right I'm emotional. I almost lost my nephew because of the primate and my nephew lost many brothers in Iraq.
Bush is an embarrassment to the entire nation.
There is no chance in Hell that McCain will win in November, even if his opponent is Daffy Duck. The republican'ts chose to do nothing, except spend money for the last eight years, so now they can watch everyone else try to clean up their mess for the next four.
You are right about one thing. Whomever is President has a lot or work ahead of them including the economy as well as diplomatic relations.
I don't envy their task.
Oh know, your going to be a little tough Gibbery.

You wonít get mileage with me on anti war comments, I am sorry for the loss of life and injuries. However, my Grand Father was on the first boat that successfully made it over seas in WWI; worked out that way cause the first on was sunk. My Dad fought in WWII, even lied about his age to join cause he was to young. I am a disabled from a line of duty injury being a Fireman. Know what we all have in common (with the exception of a few; Iíll give you that)?? We all volunteered, trained and answered the call.

Obviously youíre choosing your information. Look at the list of the people who authorized the war. Look at the war resolution. Give me a break.

The hard part I have is knowing that the sheep donít appreciate the decisions and actions needed to protect them. Then something like 9-11 happens and everyone wants blood. Of course when itís messy they change their mind, give me a break.

I haven't changed my mind. This war was opposed from the beginning by many, including myself, but the administration was intent on avenging Bush I. Hope it was worth 4200 dead US soldiers. It had nothing to do with 9/11. Nothing.

Meanwhile, regarding your lame 9/11 argument, did we get Bin Laden, you know, the person responsible for 9/11? Nope. Not even close. That's because he's smarter than the whole Bush admin. It really is pathetic. No wonder the world is laughing at us.

Those pictures were amazing. It breaks your heart to know they have been at war for 6 years. I think I'm going to go hug my kids.

Mr. Gib,

Not to make the leap, but I probably wonít sway your anti-war opinion. Now, please name five individuals that opposed the war from the beginning.

Please do not list;

Saddam Hussein
China
Russia
Barack Hussein Obama
Yourself

It had nothing to do with 9-11.

These are just a very few highlights. Let me ask you, at what point do we defend ourselves and/or others against Radical Islamic Terrorists etc.?

Sacrifice no matter how great or small is unfortunately a part of war.

No, as far as we can tell Bin Laden is alive and well, but he is definitely not a major player right now. Please donít forget, unless you donít know, Clinton missed him too!

You really sound like you are rooting for the fundamentalist/extremists? Even if you personally do not like Bush, and you are entitled to, you must want us to win donít you?

The rest of the world is laughing at us?? Is that why most everyone in the world wants to come here to live and prosper?

Actually I sent the video link, and yes the next Iraq generation (those kids) are worth fighting for. Iraq has been at war for six years? You need to actually read more and learn more about the Middle East.

Yeah, and McCain was endorsed by Hagee, a guy who said Katrina was punishment for the city's planned gay parade. How do you think those people in LA feel about that?

Wow! You win the prize for most "Self-righteous, Condescending, Insult laden" post.

After reading your resume, stating all your families military service, I thought about stating mine, but why? That would make me sound like you.

I was opposed to the war in IRAQ. Not the war in Afghanistan. My knowledge of the middle east is nominal, but I have not seen anything in your writing that screams 'Middle East Expert". What you are is an expert at talking and a novice at listening. Most people consider that the definition of ignorance.

My nephew was in the initial charge into Baghdad and for close to 500 days and sleepless nights (back at home)we didn't know if we would ever see him again. He believed in the war. Past tense.

He left us as a Bush supporter.

Today, he is an unwavering OBAMA supporter.

Are you going to call my nephew a terrorist now, you big blowhard? You have some nerve lady.

You should try independent thought instead of spewing mindless, Bushbot propaganda.

PS: How do we WIN in Iraq? I can't wait to hear this.

DEEDS, DEEDS, What Deeds has Obama done for anyone, Name one that relates to a National Issue.

And as far as his disrespect to the Flag of this Country I have my 2 cents worth, I proudly display two symbols and they are not idolatrous emblems either. As a Christian and a Retired Military Vet and Past Commander of the American Legion, I wear as appropriate a cross and a flag pin. I know of tens of thousands of other Military folks who live and die by that symbol. Do you now think this is going to be an issue.

Ok back to you so you can have your snide comeback with your put downs of folks like me, and where you can tell me that people like me need to get a life. Well as A Veteran of Vietnam and the Gulf war and father and now optomistic Veteran I welcome your snide remarks because I know I have a full and rich life.

Now Mr. Gib, you were given an assignment and asked questions, but you totally ignored them.

First, as I previously stated, when individuals that happen to be more Ďliberalí are presented with information that may disprove their view or theory, they turn to personal attacks, diversions and insults. Kinda like your posts. Plus I am much more better at sarcasm than condescension!

Now, previously you said that this war was opposed by many and you use some of the Bush propaganda to sell your point. I simply asked you to name five individuals that opposed the war. I gave you five that were against the war that you couldnít use. Please, try it again???

Oh and here are few more you canít use;

Ahmadinejad
Cuba
Chavez
Hamas
Again, yourself and BHO

Did you look up any of the dates I gave you? Come on, you must have?

Oh, I used the family history to counter your use of anti-war rhetoric/talking points. As far as me being a Middle East expert, nope. However, I have dabbled on the subject and worked in the field a little bit. You see the problem is that unless you educate yourself on the Middle East, Obamaís problems, Health Care etc, how can you form any type of sound educated decision? You just canít listen to someone who says Ďchangeí, wet your self and put him in the White House!

As far as your nephew goes, I thank him for his service. However an unwavering Obama supporter, the man needs an emergency intervention. No he is not a terrorist, maybe an Obamorist. Just made that up; now that is funny, ObamoristÖ

Not to mention, I am not a big blowhard. Also, you are calling me a lady? I know I may be a little feminine sounding, but I think I am a dude.

Bushbot propaganda, please tell me what I have said that is propaganda. Now you expect me to lay out exactly how to win in Iraq. You and I know that it would be a waste of time because you donít really want to stay and/or win in Iraq do you?

I can tell you how we will lose in Iraq! Do you want to know???

Now, Iraq had some serious big huge mistakes/problems, no one can argue that. Of course every war has its problems, it kind of goes with the territory. On the flip side, no one can legitimately say we should not have gone into Iraq. And you canít say (use whiny voice when you read this sentence) but they didnít find any WMDs.

Anyway, I am growing tired so bye for now GibbyÖ
